"Stop and Sniff the Roses... 🌹 Then Keep Walking" 🚶‍♂️

Stopped by Dove Myer Robinson Park today also known as the Auckland Rose Garden, but let’s not get boujee about it. 🌹 Plenty of parking, and if the lot’s packed (which is rare unless roses are trending on TikTok), there’s always street parking just a few steps away.

The rose section? Small but mighty. Different colours, big blooms, fresh, and actually fragrant not like those fake supermarket roses that smell like plastic sadness. 💐 Sniffed a few, got judged by a bee, moved on.

There are a few benches for rose-gazing and deep life thoughts, but not much to see after you’ve done one or two loops. The real bonus? The park connects to Judges Bay with a peaceful walkway you can walk, jog, or cycle your way into a whole different vibe. And if you spot a road on the side? Yep, cars can sneak through too (if you find it). 🚗🛣️

Toilets? Gotta walk down to Judges Bay for that. Bit of a hike just to pee, but hey makes it feel like an adventure.

Nice, calm, and perfect if you’re in the mood for sniffing roses and pretending you’re in a peaceful drama series. Just don’t expect a full botanical zoo.

This is such a fabulous park, right in the heart of the city. There's the obvious attraction of the roses, but even when the roses are no longer at their best, this park has the most amazing views back to the city and over Judges Bay. There's parking on the road, or you can drive into the gardens themselves. I've always managed to find a park (except during rose festival). Don't miss the Nancy Steen Gardens; a very romantic little secluded oasis behind the rose gardens, and one of the most significant trees in Auckland; an extraordinary and massive grandmother Pohutukawa, which spreads out along the ground and is wonderful for kids to climb and play around (walk past the cafe building and take the path that heads out to the point, from either direction). It's sad to see the cafe in the gardens is closed, but there's a decent cafe just up the road (less than a hundred metres? Didn't measure, but...

Judges Bay is great little spot for a swim, pays to check that the tide is in or on its way in. There a floating pontoons to swim out too. Alot of work has been done to revitalise the bay area. You can enjoy your self having a look around Dove-myer Robinson park, views overlooking the harbour & the rose 🌹 gardens in the other direction. There is also Bbq facilities in Judges bay. This is also the entrance to the Parnell Baths out door salt water pools & a water 💧 playground for kids plus Spas. It a fanrastic littke area. Just Remember if you visit plz take your Rubbish home with you, dont overload the local council bins, thousands of us visit here for diffrent reasons bus tours tourists cyclists familys joggers canoes so each of needs do our bit Take the Rubbish hm with you plz, as we say in NZ Be...

I did a photoshoot at Parnell Rose Garden few days ago and I am in love with the view here ! Every single corner of the place is very photogenic that will satisfy any photography lovers. They have a flower house up the hill and when you walk down that hill from the other side, you will see a small beach with an outstanding and peaceful view. When you are here, you could feel that all of the tiredness and gloominess inside of you has been lifted away and all of sudden, everything just became so quiet, so calm, so pleasant; and the shadow that was pressings down your shoulders got lighter for a moment, but that was way more than enough... Parnell Rose Garden is a wonderful spot for photography/nature lovers. Come here if you want to find a bit of calmness in this rushing, busy, crowded world :)

A proper rose garden in the city. Well worth a visit from November to February. The flowers are just simply stunning! There is usually ample parking on the street or in the park itself. The old Victorian house now has an upscale Chinese restaurant and the rest of the park is good for an afternoon walk. Other attractions are the oldest Pohutukawa tree in Auckland and a koi pond/fountain. There is a public restroom and you can easily walk to Judges Bay for a swim. There is a rose festival that is held in mid November and is worth the trip with shows, food and craft vendors as well as kids activities. Parking can be tricky so plan to take the bus.
