This year I finally invested in myself. It took me a minute but I finally took the leap. I signed up to a PT with our coach Dc. 🙌🏽 My only regret? I wish I started sooner! 🤦🏽♀️😩
I’m in my late 30s, I was 99.1kgs when I started back at the gym in September this year. Nothing was working. I didn’t have that drive or push to keep me going consistently.
I ALMOST quit AF to go back to my old gym.
I was struggling to lose weight, I didn’t have a meal plan or exercise plan that I was sticking with.
I tried working out and doing my own random exercises. spent 3+ hrs at the gym(true story). avoiding people as much as possible didn’t feel confident in myself my form was crap I didn’t like using other equipment because it made me feel anxious plus I didn’t know how to use half of them properly and I didn’t know how to ask anyone for help I was struggling with confidence and low self esteem. 😩
I just didn’t feel motivated anymore. Plus I had spinal, pelvis, postural, knee and shoulder issues, which made my confidence and self esteem WORSE.
So yea, I almost quit AF BUT lucky I met Dc.
We had a chat. He helped me figure out a plan. I broke out of my comfort zone and NOW we have PT sessions (which I highly recommend anyone who needs help with form, rehab exercises, who lacks confidence, who feels lost on their health and fitness journey. Get in touch with Dc. You won’t regret it!)

He does HIIT and Strength training everyone Mondays + Wednesdays @ 6am and 6pm!

Trust me I was afraid to say hi or ask for help. People tend to overthink things especially when it comes to money. I was the same lol
But I wanted to change my life because my way wasn’t working AT ALL!
So I broke out of my comfort zone and said hi to one of the regulars and convo led me to talk with Dc and I got my free consultation that day.
I’m still grateful till this day for doing that!
A couple of days later he took me through an exercise assessment to see what I needed work on. I needed a lot of work lol anyway I don’t regret investing in him as my PT!

After 8 weeks of being consistent at the gym, following his custom meal and exercise plan, joining Dc’s classes, AND his 6 week weightloss challenge, I’ve now lost 8kgs now! 🙌🏽 whoop whoop! 💪🏽🥰
From 99.1kg to 91.6kgs as of this morning (7/11/2025)
Our PT sessions have allowed me to feel more confident in myself. I feel motivated and inspired to show up for myself now thanks to him.

Yea you can watch all the tutorials online on how to get better form for certain exercises, but doing it in person with someone who has 15+ years of knowledge and experience, is WAY better and safer for you in the long run, trust me.
Investing in a PT, investing in myself and joining Dc’s classes was the best decisions I’ve made for myself this year, especially for someone who lacked confidence, had low self esteem, anxiety and depression, who avoided talking to people at the gym 😅

I LOVE his classes! Even though the gym is small, he still finds a way to make it work!
Everyone encourages everyone in class. We have fun. There’s always someone cracking up jokes to keep the energy high and that’s another reason WHY I love going back to the gym now.

The etiquette at this gym is particularly underdeveloped, with frequent misuse of the facilities by the patrons. While the staff are relatively polite, there is virtually no moderation from the management to maintain an experience in line with the Anytime Fitness brand. The branches in the North Shore and the CBD have an exceptional level of service, and I have discovered that they are well worth the commute.
