My family and I recently dined at Goode Brothers in New Lynn, and it turned out to be a delightful experience from start to finish. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and the inviting ambiance instantly set the tone for a memorable evening.
One of the highlights of our visit was the food. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and it's safe to say that both kids and adults alike thoroughly enjoyed the culinary offerings. From appetizers to main courses, each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. It was evident that the chefs at Goode Brothers take great care in sourcing quality ingredients and crafting dishes that leave a lasting impression.
Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm of the evening. The cozy yet vibrant atmosphere made us feel right at home, and it was the perfect setting for a relaxed family dinner. Whether you're looking for a casual meal with loved ones or a special celebration, Goode Brothers offers an ambiance that caters to various occasions.
Additionally, I must commend the impeccable service we received throughout our meal. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. From recommendations on the menu to accommodating special requests, their professionalism and hospitality truly enhanced our dining experience.
One minor concern we had was regarding the perceived quality of the food due to our First Table booking. However, any apprehensions were quickly dispelled once we tasted the dishes. Despite booking through a discount service, we found the quality of the food to be top-notch, which speaks volumes about the consistency and dedication of the kitchen team.
Overall, our experience at Goode Brothers New Lynn was nothing short of excellent. From the delectable food to the welcoming ambiance and attentive service, it's clear that this establishment prioritizes customer satisfaction above all else. Whether you're a local resident or just passing through the area, I highly recommend paying a visit to Goode Brothers for a truly enjoyable...
Read moreThe good (e?) ... the entrees were great, we had fried chicken, prawns, and some cheesy bread..... no problem.... the bad! and it was bad. Two of us had steak, and the other a pizza..... the steaks were BAD. Given there isn't many options on their menu, you'd think they'd be good at what they do offer. But we got one rare, one medium rare, there was zero difference between them. By the time they got to our table they were kind of luke warm, the garlic butter they put on top didn't even really melt. It really wasn't cooked right, it's like they didn't know how to cook it. Also it was quite sinewy in places, though was a nice think piece of steak. The lettuce was kind of dumped on, no dressing, no nothing. This was the worst steak I think I've ever had at a restaurant. The pizza, well, I lived in Italy for a couple of years, so Italian pizzas are simpler, but theirs feels like a pizza a 10 year old would throw together at home. Not good. Desserts? Tiramisu and Nuttella calzone.... not good, Tiramisu was watery mushy tasting.... Nuttella calzone, meh. Just get yourself some nutella and melt it.... They just didn't really do anything with it to make it taste good. Given the price they charge for all this, they deserve a very low rating as they should be doing a LOT LOT LOT LOT better to warrant the prices...
Read moreWent to this particular branch of Goode Brothers for the first time last Saturday for my mum's birthday. Was 9 of us. Been to the Northwest branch but have to say New Lynn is far better with everything - the food, atmosphere and service,...and talking of service, our waiters Trinity and Cody were fab. Trinity couldn't do enough for us and was very accommodating. Thanks guys. The only 1 comment i'd like to make is regarding the Pina Colada cocktail at $16. We bought one for my mum as a special birthday drink. It came up in normal tumbler glass loaded with ice. Mum asked for the ice to be removed as it waters the drink down too much and she doesn't like that. When she got the drink back it was only half full. and the waitress (not Trinity but another girl) said that was the normal serving size for a cocktail without ice. We was shocked and just looked at each other. To pay that much money for a half a cocktail glass. It should be the same full serving size regardless of whether the customer wants ice or not. We didn't want to make a scene given it was a special occasion but I could see mum was disappointed and so was we. That really needs to be looked at guys as that's unfair. We will be back but won't be...
