Hotel de Mercedes — Hotel in Cebu City

Me and my family was having a 3day tour to Cebu. We chose tje hotel bcoz of its located along downtown area. The place is not thesame to the picture given online, way too far. The building is old, the sheets and towel were overused (parang nka ilang gamit na ng sari saring guests), their aircon were too noisy, and some of their staff especially at the fron desk were too rude and so unprofessional. My daughter payed for the excess charges bcoz hindi na include nung nagpa book sya sa agod (only 2 adlut were included) So when we arrived to the hotel they explained the charges that my daughter has two pay for her 2nyt stay with us (Php 350.00) per nyt. So my daughter gave the morning shift duty a Php 1000.00 peso. She told us that she'll give the change later in when we come back together with the reciept. So, around 9pm when we arrived again from our "gala" outside she gave the change. My daughter signed and a lil bit confused why she only gave 150pesos? Due to the exhausted mind and tired body my daughter didn't bother to look at the receipt only to find out that the receipt were only for 1night deduction. But my daughter im good faith, she assumed and trusted the staff that they deducted it for 2nyts already coz it is what they agreed in the morning hat my daughter has to pay fo 2 nyts thats why we gave them 1 thousand. The next morning, the staff from the afternoon asked us about the payment for the second night. So my daughter asked them why we have to pay them again bcoz we already paid for it (sobra pa nga coz ung sukli is 150 lng) they're sayingnthat we paid only for 1 nyt! Its even indicated to the receipt. My daughter told them that received only 150 so she assumed they already deducted. But they insisted, they even threatened us to check im cctv camera and if we can't pay for it they pull out the extra bed and has to pay for another bill. Then we agreed that they have to prove that they gave us the correct change which is (php650.00) until the last day of our stay they can not show us the recorded cctv. Nirarasun pa nila na hindi avail ang cctv man nila. So it means the hotel can't give us the assurance of security bcoz there is no staff that is on duty to their cctv that could warn us if their is any unnecessary things to happen. 1st nyt other staff are saying that the cctv man came by and check the cctv and nakita daw doon na nagbigay talaga sila ng exact amount. The other day other staff tellimg us na hindi pa nkakadaan ang cctv man kasi busy. They are absolutely a big fat liar !!! We chose cebu bcos of its tourist spot, we want to enjoy, he people.we met including the grab and taxi driver were very accomodatimg and friendly, they are the one who's helping to promote the tourism in cebu bcos of their friendly attitude. But it was being covered by the tragic expeience of this hotel! Php 350 is just an amount of money. Whatever cost it is, it may big or not all we want is the fairly judgement and a good treatment. We just want to prove us that we were wrong and give us the proof of tjeir accusation to us bcos we're just ready to pay for the Php350 they desever. When we checked out my daughter still paid them the said amount and told them "I can't consider this as a payment of what you insisted it is, but it is a donation til you've proven that you were right!" It was a tragedy experience for the rest of our lives...

My second time to book a twin deluxe room and I guess whichever room you're assigned to, it's the same. ||Aircon works well, toilet flush, no bidet still but you can request dipper at the reception, towels not that white but clean, floor is clean. only that the hot water doesn't work well, tv with cable works well, etc.||Since this is a budget hotel, don't expect much. But the advantage is they are near transportation, in fact, lot of jeepneys are passing by this street. This is walking distance to 7-11, mcdo, shopping mall and beside nuat thai. This is a busy street even at night and taxis are familiar with the hotel so no problem if it's your first time to stay here. this is one jeepney ride to SM Cebu City as well. ||||This is good for budget travelers and backpackers who are always out at day and needs place to stay at night. it's an old hotel with a lot of renovation to do in its interior but decent enough for a short stay. ||||Tip: you can order food only until 10pm or just bring your food in the room and request for cutlery and plates. You can also request for hot drinking water. The wifi connection is poor you have to be at the lobby to connect properly. They will clean your room if you leave your key at...

it’s an old hotel but rest assured you’ll still have a good night’s rest. Location is ok, near fuente, very accessible to transportation, near 7-11, starbucks and gaisano mall. Walking distance to sto nino church too. dont expect much as everything is so basic here. The only thing is they’re strict is with the breakfast call. Cannot be earlier than 630am. Room service starts at 8am for breakfast. Nothing much to choose from. No wifi upstairs but strong in the lobby. They can accommodate early check in requests if there are available rooms. Lucky for me, I got to check in at 11am. Well, I could've probably checked in earlier if only they are responsive to my call and sms. The contact number in their agoda site seemed to be not update. and they respond late to queries through agoda messages as well, sometimes no reply at all. BTW, the elevator is so old, can only accommodate 5 people and scary, as if it's gonna fall anytime haha! But I have to commend the...
