Przechodniu wznieś modły do istoty tronu, Tej duszy umieści w gronie swych Syonu, Prosi usilnie, żebrze, racz dać Boże Panie, Apolonii duszy wieczne spoczywanie. Umarła dnia 15 stycznia 1803 roku.

Spoczywa tu wielu sławnych ludzi związanych z Krakowem, m.in. Dominik, Alojzy, Karol, sen. Stanisław, Karol jr Estreicherowie, Józef Dietl, Ignacy Daszyński, Jan Matejko, Juliusz i Wojciech Kossakowie, Piotr Michałowski, Helena Modrzejewska, Henryk Rodakowski, Lucjan Rydel, Władysław Żeleński, Oskar Kolberg, Tadeusz Kantor, Leszek Herdegen i jego żona Lidia Zamkow, Wisława, Szymborska, Marek Grechuta, Zbigniew Wodecki itd. W części wojskowej cmentarza spoczywają m.in.: 1573 żołnierzy radzieckich, 517 żołnierzy brytyjskich, 177 żołnierzy polskich ofiar września 1939, weterani walki podziemnej, żołnierze niemieccy. W tejże kwaterze wojskowej odsłonięto w 1993 pomnik „Żołnierzy Września 1939 - Armii Kraków" (autorstwa Piotra Chwastarza, Henryka Olszówki i Grzegorza Kawczyńskiego), zawierający 52 urny z ziemią z pól bitewnych tej Armii.

we are visiting the famous Cmentarz Rakowicki Cemetery, where thousands of people have gathered to pay their respects to their loved ones and national heroes.

November 1st is a public holiday here in Kraków, and it is a tradition for people to visit the cemetery with flowers and candles to honor their departed family members. This is a special day where people come together to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed on.

Tomorrow, on November 2nd, we also have All Souls' Day, although it is not officially a holiday. However, many still visit the cemetery to pray for the souls of the departed. The atmosphere here at Cmentarz Rakowicki is one of reverence and remembrance, as we take a moment to honor those who have left us.

Thank you for joining us on this special day, and we hope you will take a moment to remember and honor your loved ones as well. Happy All Saints' Day from...

The Cmentarz Rakowicki 🪦is the most beautiful and very historical cemetery I know. It is a vast and peaceful place, full of stunning architecture and sculptures. The cemetery is home to the graves of many famous Polish people, including: - Karol Wojtyła (Pope John Paul II), Władysław Reymont (Nobel Prize-winning author), and Oskar Schindler (the man who saved the lives of over 1,000 Jews during the Holocaust). I have a family grave at the Cmentarz Rakowicki, and I always enjoy visiting it. It is a place where I can come to reflect on my family's history and to pay my respects to those who have passed away.

I would highly recommend the Cmentarz Rakowicki to anyone visiting Kraków. It is a truly...

The Rakowicki Cemetery in Krakow is a truly magical and peaceful place. Walking through its tree-lined paths, you’re surrounded by beautiful old tombstones, intricate sculptures, and a deep sense of history. It offers a quiet atmosphere for reflection, far from the busy city streets. The mix of nature and architecture makes it one of the most atmospheric spots in Krakow. A meaningful stop for anyone interested in the city’s cultural and historical depth

Clean, well-kept territory. It is a very old cemetery with interesting family crypts and graves of notables, even the graves of ordinary people are interesting there. There are monuments to soldiers of various wars, victims of various regimes - that's how big it is. I felt calm and safe there. The cemetery is located in the center of the city. It is very inconvenient to find a parking space, but it is convenient to get there by public transport.
