.It was great while it lasted. It's not often where I give a bad review but when one is deserved what can you do. We've visited CIAO few times and must say you can't complain about food quality but when you offer promotions to the customers you should stick to it. Service in the restaurant is in my opinion as important as food quality. So last time we had the same exact order on Wednesday yet my pizza was counted in full price. I tried explaining that it makes no sense that Pizza Quattro Stagioni full of ingredients costs less than my margarita with Spicy Salami but the waitress just wouldn't listen, she didn't respect the promotion rules even tho last time there was no problem with that and I didn't even have to ask for it (ordered pizza Salame where instead of normal salami it was exchanged for spicy one). The worst thing is that we really liked this place and would be coming often as we live next door but the staff was just totally not able to understand, even when I said this is out last visit here. Instead of walking out in good mood we felt well ... Weird. So yes, this was my last visit in Ciao. Ciao.
Edit after comment: Staff should explain conditions of the promotion or at the very least notify that what we ordered is not included in the promotion. Small detail, you could easily sort this out but there was just no...
Read moreYou can get a great pizza here; I did today. If I haven't already, I will always tell you that the crust is everything if nothing as far as pizza goes. Don't laugh; I'm serious. The crust is the foundation of a pizza and this place knows how to lay a great one. When mine came out, I thought to myself, "oh no, I forgot to order it crispy again." You know how I hate soggy pizza. But this place somehow managed to perfect a slightly chewy yet crisp one. They nailed it. I had the diavolo and it was a little less spicy than I normally like. You know the chili pepper is my master and how hot I like my food. These people must've known it too, and that I would come here one day as they put on my table a wonderful little selection of chili oils. I tried a tiny little drop of the Carolina Reaper, and I found that painfully pleasurable taste and feeling I always jones for. I got some more time here in Krakow, so I'm going to come back for another pizza. I'd ask you to join me, but did you ever really exist in the first place? Whether you do or don't doesn't really matter because the service here was incredibly friendly and natural at my new must go-to pizza place in Krakow. I really don't need you around with such great people...
Read moreThe food itself is just...ok.
We came in and the waiter offered us with a nice cozy looking table. There are 2 rooms in the restaurant, this one was quite with less people and overall looked more cozy to us. After sitting and choosing our order the waiter came and asked us to move to the other table in the other room. Upon asking WHY he just embarrassingly said because "the owner asked for that". We agreed because decided there must be something important, some serious reason for that, emergency situation etc
After leaving our table and moving to the other room we noticed that... the owner himself appeared and offered this table to other people. What a shame!!! He removed us from the table just to offer it to his "VIP clients". I've never seen anything like that...
