Salt & Pepper Pizzaria — Restaurant in Albufeira

Too long wait times. Admittedly it was busy and a considerable number of guests came in at the same time, but was waiting nearly an hour for a single starter (garlic bread).

We were then waiting 30-40 minutes for the main. One member of my party ordered another glass of wine which was simply forgotten about and had to be re-ordered 20 mins later to finally arrive.

The mains themselves were a mixed bag. I had a pizza which was OK but one member of the party had chicken breast with mushroom sauce and the chicken was very tough and practically inedible. We gave this as feedback when the plates were collected to be told "oh OK" - not even an apology.

We then got the bill and the chicken hadn't been comped, on raising this with the manager, he was very rude (slammed the revised bill on the table and asked if the bill is now how we want) and argumentative on how everyone else who had ordered it hasn't complained - not sure how this was relevant, it's possible this was a bad piece of breast or just not cooked right, but he was just dismissive of our complaint and insinuated we were lying.

Safe to say we won't be returning, unfortunate experience as this came as a highly recommend restaurant. There is a restaurant caller Rustico a couple doors down which I can highly recommend. Much nicer pizza. Better service. And...

This is a really nice place. Friendly staff. Engaging owner. Food is good. Very good. HOWEVER They have way too many tables for the size of their kitchen and their ability to servive those tables.

Before they sit you down, ask how long it'll be until they give you food. One night it was fine, all.wothin reasonable time. 2nd night it was 25 min after sitting down that they took our order then another 1hr and 5min until food arrived. If they had warned us they were so far behind, and given the customer the choice, then that would have been good customer service as I could have made a choice. When I told owner at end that the delays were unacceptable he said it was because of the quality of the food. A delay of that long isn't caused by food quality and demand, but choice of owner adding tables when he doenst have the ability to servive them. Profit at the expense of...

We fancied some Italian food/pizza when on holiday, tried to find this restaurant a few days ago, but the location on google map was wrong so didn’t find it in time and had to go to another Italian restaurant on top of the street instead. We reported the error to google, now the location is correctly shown on google map. We decided to try to come here again tonight, and it is proven that we definitely made the right decision. The food is so delicious and fresh with very good service, best pizza we had in the area. The owner and his wife (who is the chef) are very friendly and attentive.
