The gentleman who served us was brilliant. He was both very nice and very good at his job. The only problem was that he was sweating for having to pick up so much of the slack left by the another mustachioed guy who didn't seem to do much except stack plates, chit-chat with customers he knew, and tell us to wait for his colleague instead of taking our order.
The meals took a very long time to arrive, and when they did me and my kids were treated to pizzas that could only have come straight from a supermarket section for discount frozen food. I could tell most of the other patrons didn't seem to happy about the wait times, and that's saying something because the place was nearly empty.

The vegetable soup, only 1.50€ was excellent. The grilled spareribs were plentiful and delicious- and about half the price of other restaurants nearby! The chicken piri piri was wonderful, but even better was the whole golden bream fish! To feed all six of us (with beer) for €72 was outstanding! Thank you for the wonderful meal, we...
Read moreVery nice and super cheap place to eat! I recommend the steak at the Portuguese, it’s cook in a sauce with ham on the top in and rostered sliced potatoes, also cheap and good local wine in the jar. The owner is very nice experienced man, kind to speak 5 languages so quietly, I couldn’t believe how easily he was swapping from one to the other. It is not the most modern and nice place to see, but you forget it with the so good food and the cheap price. We will go back...
