Casa Falésia — Restaurant in Albufeira

We came here last night after reading all the great reviews. It was going well until my we were asked how are meals were and my wife had told our waitress ( who I assume looked like the owner) that her steak was not good. She was taken back and you could tell she didn’t like the comment my wife made. If you’re in the restaurant business you should be able to take constructive criticism. She then proceeds to ask us if wanted to have coffee or dessert? Seriously after you not even try to address the problem with the meal? We did ask for the check and this was another soap opera. We waited for about 20 minutes for the check and she sends someone else from the back of the kitchen to bring us the bill. Absolutely our worst meal in Portugal. Stay away...

My family ate here tonight. The food was awful. All of the meat was extremely tough. The child's meal chicken nuggets were burnt and like rocks. There was plastic through my daughter in law's food. My steak was inedible, I went from the nicest steak I've ever had 2 nights before in Lagosteria to the worst steak I've ever had in here. The waiters took away our cutlery after our starters and we had to ask for them to be replaced, the mains were brought out while someone was still eating starters. Awful service. When we complained the man (who I'm assuming was the owner) got very defensive and said it was the meat he always cooks. He refused to reduce the bill. Only 2 out of 7 main meals were eaten. Most were barely eaten or half eaten....

The restaurant is fairly basic, but the atmosphere seems nice. When we got there at 19:15, we were the 1st people there and the waiting staff seemed totally disinterested and lazy. We were sat at a nice table outside and presented with a menu. We then waited 10-15 minutes for a drink order to be taken and again the waiter seemed totally disinterested. Eventually our drinks came and we ordered our food. We both had fish and to be honest the fish (grilled salmon and grilled sea bass) was very fresh and tasty. However, the veg was luke warm at best, but tasty. We were then left on our own for quite some time and eventually had to find a waiter to order another drink.
