We arrived for a late lunch, around 3pm, and choose to sit on outside patio since it was a great sunny day. Once we sat down the waiter asked us, not politely, to move to a smaller table. Her argument was that a bigger group could arrive an might need that table. No problem with this, only if the restaurant was practically empty on this day and time, making the discussion/request moot. Our food took quite some time to arrive. We ordered one daily menu (entry, side fish and main course) and another fresh fish from the menu. Both were tasty and fresh, the side dishes unfortunately were on another level, sadly. They were just simple steamed vegetables without taste nor attention given. Not really following the Chefs choice with it. Anyway, our experience was dominated by the bad service provided by the staff members. For a person that usually give tips, even for bad services, i find myself very reluctant this time, and end up not giving any. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, there's definitely places with fresh seafood with better service...

After reading many positive reviews about the restaurant we arrived at this pleasant looking and very clean dinery only to be greeted by the most miserable looking waitresses,it was like we were in a mortuary,no smiles,no hello' s,no questions regarding the quality of the food...Which brings me to the next point...Awfully overpriced, considering the quality. The Chicken was overcooked and hard. The Pepper steak was miniscule and the sauce terrible..Frozen Chips ,and a Burger which tasted like it came straight off a supermarket budget shelf.Dressed Crab was a cupful of gunge..Absolutely awful in my experience. Then as I was settling the bill I got asked "would you like to leave a tip?" with a wry smile..I answered,no I'd just like to...

Found this traditional Portuguese restaurant purely by chance and ate there on the 8th of March 2023. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by very friendly staff and fabulous ambience of the place. It was packed considering all the other bars and restaurants nearby were empty, which tells you how good this place is. There were olives and pickled carrots on the table before you sat down, and they brought a bread basket Straight away. A lovely gentleman in the corner playing guitar and singing. My husband had a prawn cocktail starter which was lovely, especially with jumbo king prawns. He then had the salmon and King prawn skewer and I went for the ribeye steak. Good value for money and the service...

Food was average in taste but very generous in portion, which is always appreciated. There’s plenty of parking available, making it convenient for drivers. The interior and decor gave a strong sense of local Portuguese character, and there are both indoor and outdoor seating options to suit different preferences. However, service could be more attentive. For example, seafood rice came with crab, but we had to ask for the necessary tools separately — would be better if they were provided proactively.
