I have never had such a bad experience from beginning to end during our stay on 24/2/2024.||||Hairdryer not working. Was bombarded with emails and messages in the days leading up to our stay - OVER COMMUNICATING is not on. When trying to pay the parking, wifi and breakage fee, they ask for a booking reference. My reference number doesn't work so I couldn't pay. When arriving at the hotel the host then tells me I have to use my name but it says REFERENCE NUMBER????? When leaving on the Sunday I asked the host 3 times if the parking ticket would work. He said yes...guess what........ When we got to the boom, we were told to pay R60. We refused. After holding up about 4 cars behind us we were eventually let out. I had paid the R75 online which I had to pay to get the room key. Wifi not working properly. Glass ceiling in the foyer was dripping water. Only a few cones and danger tape visible and not around the entire puddle on the floor. Guests were walking through the water and it could have caused serious injury. Half a roll of toilet paper in each of the toilets in our rooms. Had to ask the host to bring toilet rolls. I would have thought this would have been put in when the room was cleaned after the previous visitors left?||||Regarding the breakage fee repayment. I had to query it today. I have just been told it was paid on Sunday 25 February. I have just checked my account and there is nothing reflecting there. I would have received a sms notification from my bank - which I didn't. As at 4 March I still haven't had feedback or received my refund. I keep having to ask for an update.||||I will never book accommodation there again or recommend this...
Read moreI was lucky to get this place as my 1st stay in South Africa. It has a unique location as it’s in the city center of Cape Town. It’s surrounded with many cafes, restaurant, groceries, ATMs and much more. You just don’t need to use the car here. On Thursday (famer market or Friday market) are set up just in front of the hotel. So do not miss this event. There is a beautiful Garden/Park just in front of the hotel where it has a wonderful restaurant. I used to go there almost every day. Some rooms overlooking the famous Table Mountain. Room, my room size was big and was well organized and well kept. I’ve heard that, rooms size varies from tower to another! Service was good The hotel has I think 2 restaurants and a café! One of the restaurant is on the top recommend in the tourist list. The prices of the hotel is reasonable in my opinion Wi-Fi in my room was an issue. The modem provide by the hotel was running out of credit a lot. To be recharge I had to call the reception to send me a helper to collect the modem, recharge it and send it back again. This event was repeating almost daily! It was...
Read moreI wouldn't even give this place a star. This was absolutely terrible. We were pulled off to the side of the building and locked in the van while they were trying to figure out how to get us through he side door. We were then taken into the security room where the girl was like " why are you in here?!" Finally made it to the lobby that is more like a grungy strip mall. We booked 3 rooms on the same floor and we were all seperated on different floors. Our rooms were dirty and gross. Check your beds for bed bugs and the carpets I don't think ever seen a vaccum. You also have a window that goes into the nasty hallway perfect for people to snoop in your room or get into. It's layed out like a hostel or a jail more or less. Everything was so disorganized and overwhelming. This experience here was tarrible, nothing about the place was nice. All of the pictures on line when booking are not at all what you get. We don't know what rooms they pictured but they are non existent do not expect to get anything close to that. We found another hotel and left. Needless to say they have 5 very...
