I used to love going to this gym. But lately some of the staff have become so rude and unprofessional. I am truly disappointed in the way i was treated by a lady named Sanah. And if she sees this. Here is my question to you. If someone is not feeling okay and is trying to call her boyfriend and you come and be rude especially after she tells you that she's not okay and something is wrong, how do you not offer any help but continue to have attitude? So concerned about me not wearing a mask for 10 seconds while trying to call my boyfriend for help. Only to find out later that morning that the symptoms I was having were inline with a minor stroke or an illness attacking my nerves. It's not about me wearing a mask. I get that you need to enforce covid rules. But its about your rudeness and zero willingness to help.

Read moreI appreciate the modern look and feel of Virgin Active Northgate—it’s sleek and visually appealing. However, the layout leaves much to be desired. It doesn’t make sense to have an open office space right next to a loud, energetic Grid class while a perfectly empty boxing room sits unused. This setup seems counterproductive for those who want a quiet space to have a meeting or get some work done.
I suspect the reason they don’t move the Grid class to the boxing gym is because moving the mats and step-up equipment a mere 3 meters is too much for the staff and instructors. It’s almost as if showing that real Virgin Active energy is a stretch for them. The staff is generally helpful if you come with a referral, but as soon as an issue arises, it’s as though everyone turns a deaf ear and a blind eye. Definitely not the level of service I...

I recently visited the gym and was impressed with the facilities and the helpful staff, both deserving of 5 stars. However, my overall experience was marred by security issues in the parking lot. After a two-hour workout, I returned to find someone had attempted to break open the lock on my car's boot. Unfortunately, another gym-goer had their back window smashed, and their laptop was stolen.
Fortunately, I had nothing valuable in my boot, but the incident has left me with the added expense of fixing the lock. This security lapse is a significant concern and has made me hesitant to return, especially during morning hours. I hope the gym management addresses these security issues promptly to ensure a safe environment for...
