Wimpy — Restaurant in Gauteng

I've reviewed a few Wimpy restaurants. I am sad to say that the Wimpy in Northgate missis the bar by a long shot. We ordered our drinks and that was not delivered as requested. Once that was sorted out, we ordered.

Now I love hot crispy chips. But I do prefer them fully cooked and not half raw. When the plate arrived. I looked at what was in front of me and I could see that the chips was undercooked. So I waited for the waiter to come back around to our table.

Eventually we called a passing waiter. And asked for the chips to be properly cooked. He was back 3 minutes later with fresh hot chips.... but they were still under cooked. So we asked for a second time for the chips to be fried properly. Eventually he brought us chips that was properly cooked.

This was not the waiters fault. Whoever is responsible for the cooking of the chips need to be taught how to cook...

We had lunch here saturday late morning the 30th september 2023.The food was good, but everything else was lacking, the service was bad, place was not even busy, there was a cockroach running under our table which went up my sons leg, he is only 2 years old, there is also no play area for kids, he was not even offered some crayons with a paper to draw on, like all other wimpy's d0?? And ended up playing with the table utensils instead, until this branch gets better we won't be returning.only food was good..but then i wonder how clean the kitchen is if there are cockroaches around in the restaurant.very disappointed and i will not recommend this...

Today my day is started a bit early,so I decided to atleast have a warm drink as it is chilly & I chose whimpy Northgate it seemed open but wasn't sure.I got in,greeted the 3 ladies at the counter and asked if they are officially open,1 lady seated busy on a laptop gave me a very ugly look & said "WHY" while her juniors by her side noded heads responding in yes we are.i took a seat & got assisted,I ordered coffee & a muffin & the coffee is so cold & I'm still cold.Very bad service but will not allow it ruin my day.Very disappointed but thank you to the junior staff & the waitress,you...
