My lunch experience at Wolfgang Steakhouse in Seoul was a mixed bag of highs and lows.
The staff at Wolfgang Steakhouse were undeniably the highlight of the meal. They were exceptionally attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to assist with any questions were commendable.
The meal began on a positive note with a tasty and fresh salad that served as a refreshing appetizer. However, the subsequent appetizer failed to live up to expectations, not quite adding value to the set meal.
The main course, featuring the fillet mignon and sirloin steak, was the star of the show. Both cuts were cooked to perfection, delivering a burst of flavor and tenderness that left a lasting impression.
On the downside, the potato fries, while flavorful, could have been crisper to complement the steaks better.
One standout moment was the excellent service provided when we requested to celebrate a guest's birthday. The staff's efforts to make the occasion special added a personal touch to our visit.
However, the odd choice of music was a bit distracting. The switch from instrumental tunes to contemporary pop halfway through the meal felt abrupt and disrupted the otherwise pleasant ambiance.
In summary, my lunch set steak meal at Wolfgang Steakhouse in Seoul had its highlights, including attentive staff and outstanding steaks, but was marred by minor shortcomings in the appetizer and potato fries, as well as an unconventional music selection. Despite these hiccups, it remains a recommendable choice for steak enthusiasts seeking...
Read moreWe reserve fine dining experience for special occasions. And, birthday is definitely one of them! I made a reservation way in advance, which I don't think was necessary. But, I just wanted to play it safe. I did mention about a family member's birthday, and they told me that they would write "Happy Birthday" on a plate when we ordered dessert. Luckily, we got a course meal for 2, which came with tiramisu. And, I really appreciated the special touch on the plate.
I thought the service and food were excellent. The porterhouse steak was filling and scrumptious. It was 850 grams' worth of meat! Now, that's A LOT!! I liked the sides that came with the course except the kimchi. I would have liked it if we were given an option to choose something else. Say, home-style pickle or some other type of zesty side to eliminate the oily taste in our mouths.
Moreover, the presentation of the house salad was a bit disappointing--diced tomatoes and onions were sloppy-looking, and a big chunk of iceberg underneath them seemed a little out of place. But overall, the dining experience...
Read moreThe exterior and interior, which give off the feeling of being in New York, create an incredibly satisfying atmosphere, perfect for a date. My wife and I visited on Christmas Day with a reservation, and we took a photo in front of the Christmas tree decorated at the entrance, with red carpeted stairs leading up. When we reached the reception on the second floor, the staff greeted us warmly and guided us to our seats after confirming our reservation.
The two-story hall has about 20 to 30 tables and private rooms. If you’d like to enjoy a party with friends in a more private setting, booking a room in advance would be a great idea. We were seated in a cozy spot with built-in seating.
The Christmas menu included an extravagant and abundant course featuring fresh seafood dishes, steak, champagne, and desserts. With the excellent service and guidance from the servers, we enjoyed nearly two hours of blissful dining.
This is a wonderful place to enjoy a special atmosphere on a special day. Highly...
