I arrived for my first day of my two week holiday. Walked in and was greeted by a mature lady cleaning the tables. My daughter asked is it ok to sit here? Her reply was very ignorant and just shouted 2 minutes at her. I then said to my daughter let’s sit out the front. The lady followed us out shouting don’t sit down give me two minutes yet again not in a pleasant way at all. I get she was busy but a bit of manners cost absolutely nothing. I see by other replies from the owner in these reviews that they clearly don’t like criticism. There were four of us but we didn’t fit the required 5/6 people free table at the front lol obviously they can be as ignorant as they want as they are clearly very busy a lot of the time so essentially they don’t care. However 4 adults breakfast every day for two weeks is a good take in my eyes. I own my own business and would never treat people in the manner this lady treated us. I see others have said the same in other reviews. We left and had breakfast in the Everest just down the street and it was fantastic a place I would highly recommend. It’s a lot bigger and a lot more room and they are very pleasant. Looking forward to the owners reply to this as I am sure it will be empty with no...
Read moreWe were met with hostility and eye rolls the minute we walked in. It was busy and we waited for a table quietly but we were made to feel unwelcome. The lady clearing the table was very rude to my daughter and told her to “just wait 2 minutes will you”. I asked if she was sure it was ok for us to sit there and she said “yes but I’ve just told her I need 2 minutes” in nasty tone. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and sit down but my husband immediately left; we should have done the same as were then met with an obnoxious tone because I’d not seen the small line on the menu that said breakfast was done at 2pm. When I said I didn’t know what to have then she tutted. We witnessed both women working being very short with other customers, including berating a young girl because she’d got the seat cushion a little wet. There are ways of dealing with people - there is no need to be rude, especially to a child. Our bill was then slammed down on the table and she walked off with the card machine so I had to sit there longer waiting for her to come back and was then greeted with more hostility. Food was bland at best. Won’t be back....
Read moreWhat an odd bar with very odd staff. We (3 of us) went in to watch the football and wasn’t made to feel very welcome.
Initially asked to sit on a table which had a big sign on saying 6 people only, was told no and had to sit right infront of the TV. 10 mins later there were 3 lads sat at the table i was told i couldn’t sit at.
Asked for some chips but was told “she won’t just make chips”
Then in another breathe i was told that they could do burgers but not chips, then watched as they brought out Sunday dinners and burger and chips to other tables.
The place was grotty and not somewhere id eat anything but chips to be fair.
We left at half time and went to a lovely local bar with friendly staff and...
