Velovie — Restaurant in Alcúdia

Looking for a real cafe and found this place. Lovely owners, great to chat with and with a very sweet well behaved dog who loves to play if you are up for it, and asks very gently! Good menu - healthier, "clean" food. We tried a salmon and courgette quiche (not on the menu but on their counter) which was amazing (and I don't like salmon so go figure), plus a ham and cheese croissant which sounds basic but the cheese was very good quality with Serrano ham. Both absolutely delicious. Good range of sweet breads (banana bread etc) but we got cookies with chocolate and walnuts which are also fantastic - a bit healthier than a normal cookie but tastes and smells like a good quality shortbread and a more interesting texture due to the walnuts. Very more-ish. Fun range of mixed drinks too like the cucumber, mint and apple drink which I had- comes with crushed ice so super refreshing in the heat. Plenty of space around the tables and comfortable chairs with nice furnishings in general. Felt comfortable enough to sit and read a book for a while, so very relaxing. It's on a main road so a fair bit of traffic and people passing but that allows you to sit quietly and watch the world go by. It's a best place for cyclists or anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee. I've been there for almost every day, owners are really nice, friendly and passionate about cycling. They have a super nice dog. You can see some nice cycling team jerseys on the wall, there is a lot of space, coffee is amazing and you have to try the orange-chocolate cake, or the lemon one or the new peanut butter-chocolate bar 🤩🤤. This is the best coffee place in Alcudia; if you like coffee; definitely stop here! You will not regret it. The shop is a mixture of cycling shop and a nice coffee place. If you can't stand that Spanish Café con leche or milk powdered Cappuccinos anymore, just come here for having a proper flat white or cappuccino. Great quality. But quality has some price.
