I recently had the pleasure of joining a free walking tour in Granada with Walk in Granada, having Alain as our guide, and it exceeded all expectations. Alain was very knowledgeable, providing a deep dive into the rich history of the city. What made the tour even better was his humor—he managed to balance historical facts with witty commentary that kept the group entertained the entire time.
One thing I really appreciated was his honesty. Alain didn’t shy away from addressing the complex and sometimes dark chapters of Granada’s past, giving us a well-rounded and honest perspective on the city’s history.
The pace was perfect, and Alain made sure to answer all of our questions, often adding interesting details or personal anecdotes. Whether you’re new to Granada or not, Walk in Granada free walking tour is a must, especially if Alain is your guide. It was informative and a lot of fun!
Love love love that Alain gave us a true history of the area! He was very friendly, funny and clearly loves his home. I truly felt the spirit of the location through the tour & can't wait to come back and explore some more! Even learnt about my own surname and culture and so many things raised i had never considered before. Alain truly knows his stuff & makes you feel so welcome with his charm! He is so passionate about his home and the real truth and history of Spain! Everything came round full circle and was connected through his storytelling, it was so engaging I would never ever travel anywhere new now without a free walking tour. Alain even gave us restaurant recommendations with their vibes & price points. Honestly the calibre of guide and knowledge is exquisite and i am yet to be disappointed by a free walking tour. Long may it continue!
Booking this tour is quite risky, they cancelled ours spontaneously when we were already waiting for the guide.
Answer: we booked for the English tour today at 11am, we received at 9 am the automatic reminder that the tour was happening. Then just before the tour was supposed to start it got cancelled. We were notified that the cancellation policy is that if there are less than 5 people the tour gets cancelled, even if the people and the guide are at the meeting point already.
Communication was good and friendly, but it can be annoying for people to get such a short notice cancellation. We recommend other travellers to have a plan B in case their tour also gets cancelled.
