I usually love IKEA, but we decided to have our kitchen made by them and had following propblems: 1) the kitchen was supposed to be installed 25/9, but they never came. Then they gave us a new appointment for 4/11. We had already torn out the old kitchen 3 weeks ago to prepare the new installation. We found a carpenter who helped us put it together 2) the modules were delivered built together, but one draw was missing the front of the inside and outside draw. Also the tube for the ex tractor was as big as the pipe, so impossible to attach. I went to the kitchen area to explain and she said I should just put tape around the tube and stick them together that way and I should read the instruction manual. She sent me down to reclamation and the girl there said she had no idea what I am talking about as she does not work in kitchen. She ordered the front draw part, but when I got home I realized it was actually 2 front draws missing, the one should have already been attached to the draw itself as it’s part of the inside draw, but I had to order that part separately for 11€. 3) the part I paid arrived but the other part has not been sent, so the carpenter has to come back again as the holes are not provided to attach the handles 4) the high cupboard was supposed to be 200cm, but the outside walls are 220, whilst the front and back are 200cm. 5) by the at IKEA blamed me for ordering the wrong parts or not ordering the missing parts, but it was the ikea kitchen designer who messed up 6) oh yes right at the beginning she had ordered the wrong sink, thank god I realized that before paying as the price was slightly different a) don’t trust ikea designer to order the correct parts, revise all 300 pieces one by one before paying b) get your own carpenter to do the installation and do not rely on Ikea being punctual C) if you can afford it buy your kitchen somewhere else Ikea is great for small things, but have 0 customer service mentality

Hello, I tried to use the Ikea Malage buy back service, detailed on Ikea website. I ve transported the furniture assembled with a rented van, a bunk bed, a bulky product, following the Ikea instructions, *Take your assembled, unmodified and clean furniture to your IKEA store, along with your budget. Your quote is valid for 30 days from the date of creation*. Although on the website there are 3 buy-back options depending on the condition of the product: As New, Very Good, Well Used, Ikea Malaga found the 4th option and that is to refuse the buy back because the furniture had 10-15cm of swollen furniture from mopping the floor. The Ikea Malaga store manager did not try for a moment to find solutions for my situation as a customer, he was very strict about internal procedures and unable to understand that actually after you bring a bulky product into the store, and assembled according to the request on the website, you don't actually have the option to return it home. My only solution was to leave it in the shop, having no option to transport it back home, being a bulky item. There is no mention on Ikea's website of problems caused by mopping the floor, but still is too little to be considered a reason not to comply with Ikea's buy back offer.

What happened to my beloved IKEA? One of the staples, the hot dog… why is both the bun and the hot dog served cold? It’s a HOT dog. The bargain corner, who is managing that mess? The prices are wrong, often same price as in store, or you’ll find the same product twice marked with two different prices. Most things only discounted by a fraction of what they should even when chipped and damaged. That’s not a bargain anymore. And finally and probably the worst… who wants to spend hours shopping for often heavy furniture and arrive at the end, literally forced, to check out yourself?! The shopping experience is supposed to be fun, inviting and encouraging. Why am I doing the job of the IKEA staff? A supermarket, I understand. Items are light, you are there several days a week but here even if it’s just a few people in the store, they’re always long lines at the checkout because people have no idea how to proceed and many of them don’t speak Spanish. This is by far the most awful experience related to IKEA after our lifetime of adoring it! At least have the decency to let people choose self check out or to use a regular cashier. Do better.

The staff are racist. That is the only explanation for the behavior I have received multiple times. I am a Black American woman living in Spain. I frequent Ikea often for stationery and office supplies for my home office. Every single time I check out, someone checks my receipt in the self check out to make sure I've scanned everything even before Ive left the register. I actually had one worker chase me down when I was leaving because she was sure i must've let my daughter steal the little elephant in her hand but didnt apologize when I showed her that it was on the receipt and had been paid for. Every single time I pay in cash, my notes are checked to see if they're counterfeit, while other customers pass through without so much as a glance. I use cash because my American debit card charges me a foreign transaction fee, not because I'm a crook trying to use a fake 20 euro note!! No one else gets checked. I have been pulled aside by security TWICE to have my handbag checked when I ENTERED the store. What reason is there for that? My husband complained and was given the generic "this is our policy" response but when he pointed out that no one else with bags was stopped, they had no response, furthermore it is not their policy. Today I went to the little market to buy some meatballs and vegetarian hotdogs. I paid with two 5 EURO NOTES. Not 100s, not 50s, 5 euro notes. The woman scanned both of my noted to see if they were counterfeit. Rather than assume that she was also being racist or singling me out, I waited afterward to see if she checked anyone else. 6 more people paid in cash (50s and 20s, 10s) and she didnt check any of them. Not one single person. What was the difference?? I'm so disgusted and disappointed. I will no longer be visiting Ikea Malaga. I've been to Ikea in multiple countries and never experienced this treatment. The staff need training on treating ALL people the same. I earn a great living and have never stolen an item in my entire life. There is no justifiable reason for why i have been singled out so many times. Shame on ikea and their prejudice staff and...

I am deeply disappointed with the service we received from Ikea Malaga. We ordered a kitchen that was supposed to be delivered and installed on specific dates we agreed upon. While the delivery arrived on time, it was incomplete, with several minor parts missing.

The real nightmare began on the day of installation. The installer cancelled on the morning they were supposed to arrive, leaving us stranded. Desperate to get our kitchen installed, we tried contacting Ikea customer service multiple times. Every attempt was met with frustration: we were hung up on repeatedly, the chat service gave up on us several times, and when we finally managed to get a helpful employee on the phone, we were informed that the next available installation date was a month away. This meant no functional kitchen for an entire month.

To make matters worse, we flew to Spain specifically to ensure we were available for the delivery and installation as agreed. I had to drive two hours back and forth to Malaga to pick up the missing parts myself. Despite our efforts, Ikea's customer service showed little to no initiative to resolve our issues or provide adequate assistance. The stress and helplessness we felt culminated when my wife was nearly in tears on the phone, trying to get someone to help us.

Our experience with Ikea Malaga has been nothing short of a disaster, and I strongly advise others to think twice before relying on their services for something as crucial as a kitchen...
