It has been an amazing experience to attend to the virtual tours that Colorful wines had been organising. Each week Jimena takes you to a different region or presents a type of wine and it's like you are there in Spain with her; you can imagine what would it be to visit those wineries and savour a glass of wine while enjoying magnificent scenery. I particularly appreciate learning of the history that has allowed those wines to become what they are, the influence that Phoenicians or Romans had had. Then you get to try authentic gems from each region that I could had easily overlook without Jimena's expert guidance. We hired Colorful wines to help with a team building activity for a group of senior colleagues across Europe. Jimena did an amazing job by organising, preparing and leading a culinary experience where they apply key collaboration and team skills but also learned about local cucine and traditions. It was a plus to have someone like Jimena, who took charge for all the details without much supervision. Her attention to details, commitment and professionalism are admirable. Jimena, unfortunately could not be with us on our Wine & Tapas tour, instead she arranged for another sommelier to be with us. Esther was exceptional in her knowledge and manner. We visited three different wine bars and tasted vermouth straight from the barrel for the first time in an old bar, exquisite! The two other wine bars were amazing, we particularly liked the Cava and Amontillado at Vides and of course the tortilla. Tasting red wines from Rioja and Ribera Del Duero side by side was a wonderful way to finish the evening.
