Piri Piri al Carbón — Restaurant in Madrid

This experience was an absolute disgrace—horrendous customer service and abysmal food. I initially blamed my inability to speak Spanish for the poor treatment, but the truth was far uglier.

The waiter told me to sit, promising to take my order soon, then ignored me. A Spanish family arrived after me , and he instantly seated them, handed out menus, and took their orders. A group of 6-7 followed, receiving the same prompt attention. Me? Not even a menu. When he finally approached, I ordered a lunch set menu from what I saw in the entrance door , only to be told it was takeout-only. Doubting but dismissed, I ordered a 1/2 Frango with a side ( Supposedly it should be a choice ) . He bluntly said fries only. I also requested a Mango Lemonade.

The food was a travesty. The Frango was partly undercooked, with a pathetic drizzle of sauce barely covering a quarter of it. The fries were a salt pile. The Mango Lemonade? Just mango juice.

The blatant discrimination I faced as a dark-skinned Asian was unmistakable. This isn’t service—it’s prejudice. I would rate them only 0/5. Such a shameful . As a front line customer service , if this is how you treat your customer based on skin colour it means you’re...

In this building there is an apartment, where we discovered suspicious cameras or sensor devices installed in two private areas of the apartment:

-One by the entrance, partially covered with a paper bag or something similar. -One in the main bedroom, facing the sleeping area, also partially covered with a paper bag or something similar.

I’ve attached photos for verification. These devices were not disclosed in the listing, and their presence is a clear violation of Airbnb’s privacy policy, especially in a bedroom, which is considered a private space.

As I understand and according to Airbnb policies, no surveillance or recording devices are allowed in private areas, regardless of whether they are active or covered.

We kindly request an urgent investigation into the installed devices, that the property listing be reviewed or removed if it violates Airbnb policies.

Good value for money. You get a whole chicken for €12.50 and the portion sizes of the sides are good for the price. We got chicken with the piri piri picante marinade. It was quite tasty and spicy but not too spicy. The breast was a little bit dry but the thigh was nice and juicy and the skin was crispy. The roast potatoes and rice were nice too. We got three desserts: the cheesecake, the chocolate cake and a pasteis de Belem. The cheesecake and the chocolate cake were only ok but the pasteis de Belem was very nice. The waitress was friendly but a little slow. I'm only giving 3 stars because it was FREEZING in there! Most people were wearing a coat while eating because it was so cold.
