Barrio Chino — Local services in Madrid

I’ve eaten at Barrio Chino twice and ordered delivery twice, always choosing priority delivery to ensure the food arrives fresh. Until now, this place had been one of my favorites — the food was always flavorful and consistent. Unfortunately, today was a huge letdown.

The chicken (sweet and sour chicken) was incredibly tough and chewy — so much so that it was difficult to bite through and felt like it had been pre-cooked and then reheated. The ends were overly crisp, even sharp, to the point that they poked painfully into my gums while trying to eat. The sauce seemed hastily poured on top rather than properly mixed in, which affected the overall taste and texture.

I’m really disappointed. I expected better, especially given how much I’ve enjoyed this place before. I’m not sure if I’ll give it another chance after this, which is unfortunate because I used to love their food. I hope this was just an off day and not a sign of a decline in quality.

Jose y Oriana se destacan en Madrid!! El arroz es exquisito, las lumpias ni hablar, el wanton frito es para comprarse 10 raciones, las gambas en salsa blanca son sublimes, las costillas además de ser divinas son inmensas!
