I keep returning here year to year. They don't take reservations and you might have to queue. That's why I arrive there exactly at opening time. The waiters are busy but they do run everything efficiently with a full house. This time I had for starters a Tabla Queso with eight(!) varieties of cheese. Very enjoyable with vino tinto. For the main dish I had sizzlingly hot goat meat with a savoury sauce. And the patas fritas were just perfect. Really yummy. But the best was the desert, a proper classic version of Mousse de Chocolate. I am a specialist of this dessert, and, in other restaurants globally I often leave disappointed with lesser versions I have come across. El Bajio's version seriously competes with Mousse de Chocolats of the very best French and Belgian restaurants.

I have been to this restaurant 3 times, first 2 times I loved the place but 3rd time wasn't so good. 2 nights ago we ordered grilled squid, the waitress understood what we asked for and the food was delicious. We went again last night and tried to order the same thing with the same waitress but this time she didn't understand that we had asked for grilled squid, not deep fried. When they brought out the wrong food, a man who I assume was the manager started arguing with me, telling me we ordered deep fried squid. He then claimed they don't do grilled squid there, so we had to show a photo of our food from the night before, proving they do serve grilled squid. Eventually we got the right food. The food is delicious, but for their attitude, I am not sure if I will return

So we chose to sit outside, they had the plastic wind screens down even though it was not windy at all and someone in the same building was smoking weed, so the smell of the smoke was just trapped inside this terrace.. The waiters were nice but did not listen to the questions that we were asking regarding the food, so they were unhelpful in that area.. there were four of us and we asked about the fish of the day, what fish is it? The answer the waiter gave us was we have all kinds of fish in our restaurant. When we asked if it's a portion of fish for a person or the whole fish and they can pick a bigger one for us so four of us can share(like you'd do in most of the restaurants over here and pay for the price per kg of the fish) the answer was yes of course we can do fish and laughter.. so the food has arrived and the starters that we had (garlic prawns, fried squids) were both store bought and just heated up, so that was very disappointing, the fish that they got us that we specifically asked to be a one to be enough for four people was suitable for two people deffinetly not four ( easily fixable thing as we could've just ordered two of them, but been told that they could give us one that's big enough for four) fish itself was actually nice, canarian potatoes were good and they had nice alioli, but that's about it.. So all in all, I would not recommend this place, cause there are a lot of better quality restaurants around the area for same if not lower price and higher...

We had dinner here at a not exceptionally busy time of the evening, yet the waitress was quite rude and in a hurry. Her English was so bad that we were almost unable to communicate and we had to resort to gestures… We took a starter, a fresh fish and the grilled tuna. Food in terms of taste was good but definitely not exceptional. Bread with tomatoes and parmaham was drenched in olive oil. The fresh fish was drenched in butter and the tuna was beyond well done. What a disappointment. But that’s not it yet! They told us the fish would be around €22 euros yet they charged us €30 and we didn’t even get the full dish (just one serving of canary potatoes, etc). They also charged us for 2 cola while we only had 1. Staff was rude once again as they disagreed and told us this is what we ordered. Now to top it all off, I got sick overnight from the food (probably the tuna). Spent the whole night in the bathroom. All in all, save yourself the trouble and do not go here. Plenty of other places that actually live up to the standards and provide you with a nice and...

The food here is distinctly average; really nothing special. The setting is in a quiet side street with no views. The most unusual and disturbing aspect of this place is the absolutely appalling attitude of the staff: I visited twice during the early evening when things were very quiet. The staff, clearly bored with this situation, began making fun of some of the customers and passers-by. I have rarely if ever witnessed such rude, base and offensive behaviour. The reason for situations like this is very simple (like some of the staff): (1) poor management. In this place, the staff call all the shots in the complete absence of any form of effective, firm management or basic expectations of behaviour; (2) COMPLACENCY: they know that they have (so they believe) an endless supply of gullible tourists. TOP TIP: there are plenty of much better quality restaurants nearby with polite, caring staff....
