The Bridge — Restaurant in Torrevieja

I write this review for the safety of any visitors, after our terrible experience there. If you would like to know more;

The situation involves two men coming into the female toilets while my wife was trying to use it and when it was threatening my wife's safety. We end up being stuck inside the pub while calling 911 and the police, and also family and friends, while these two men waited at the entrance, still trying to get to us, and sending and shouting threats in plain sight.

You would expect the staff to stay neutral, or at least support a husband and wife in this situation, but no... all bar staff, except one, actually teamed up with the thugs, who kept repeating that they are friends with the owner. One of the waitress even threaten to slap my wife ("voy a darle un guantazo"), and that was one of the waitresses.

When the owner finally showed up, (or at least she identified herself as the owner, named Patricia) it was as rude a treatment as I can imagine, and surely the poorest management of any such situation I have ever seen in my 45 years (father of two by the way, I'm not exactly a party head).

Only one staff member tried to keep the thugs from coming to hit us and kept a neutral approach to the entire situation, one out of 7. We really hope that he is kept well after all this, and that his role in this terrible situation is appreciated, by some owner, some day, somewhere.

I can only recommend you to stay away from this place, and you may want to think on why these two men were taking turns in locking themselves in the female toilet, and also why would this establishment staff and owner support this behavior and...

This place is really nice, we are currently sitting at a table of 9 for a birthday, we were booked for 19.30 it's now 21.15 and all we have had is our starter which mainly consisted of deep fried croquets!!! Service is pathetic, I see earlier reviews saying service is great, it simply isn't, we had to go into the bar 4 times and try to get our food, we were told a table of 20 were in so it was taking longer, therefore point to note, if more than 20 in when you arrive don't come in unless you want to wait....... For ages, Not sure what the main course will be like but if the fact that we were asked to keep our cutlery is anything to go by, god help us, we are not food snobs, not restaurant snobs but we might have been better heading to the new KFC in Cabo Roig!!!!! Meals have now arrived, mine was good, however 2 of the steaks were undercooked so sent back, still undercooked, sent back again, I am a first impressions guy and so sorry to say this is just not where you want to be, I am as honest as the day is long when I review place because this is what makes or breaks a place, however this place will break itself if it does not pay serious attention to this review, we have been here for 6 years, eaten in every type of place from low level to high, sadly The Bridge is at the...

This is one of the restaurants on the strip opposite the Punta Prima Commercial Centre.

They all look lovely and inviting from the outside so we decided to check this one out today for lunch.

We went for the menu del dia - a 3-course mark with a drink 🥃 for 9.90€. Followed by a mojito 🍹 - drinks are 5€ during their happy hour 😊

The food was average to poor. Salad to start was fine and a tad varied.

Mains were disappointing. Steak 🥩 very overdone, chips very underdone, salad instead of roast veggies 🥕 🥦

They did their best to make it up. We got a large bowl of chips, which was kind, although properly cooked, they were too fluffy inside - not the best quality.

They offered to redo the steak and we kindly refused. TBH there didn’t seem to be much point.

The tiny ball of chocolate ice cream 🍨 on the whipped cream was rather nice. It had little dark chocolate bits in it and it tasted good.

Mojito was very tasty!! To be fair, they’re more of a bar than a restaurant.

The place does have a lovely atmosphere and the background music 🎼 was right up our street, which was enjoyable.

The seats were also very comfy. They were bar seats and the bar table was too high for the food, yet perfect for drinks 🍺
