GOMA Gastropub — Local services in Stockholm

The food here was Lagom, nothing special as an Asian fusion place in Stockholm. What killed our appetite was the stink from the marble table. We were sitting at a table made of marble, the waiter wiped it for us and it started smelling like rotten wipe cloth that was soaked in dirty water. The stink was so strong that we couldn’t ignore it, so we asked the waiter for cleaning up again, yet unfortunately the smell was still there. We had to ask the waiter for another table, and he was really nice, gave us a new table (which was wooden) and apologized multiple times. However this really made us question the hygiene of this place. The truffle dumplings were really greasy, the grease dripped a thick layer from the bottom onto the place, but the flavors were pretty good. The deep fried crab cake had very weak scent of crabs. The caramelized glazed salmon was pleasant, the sauce offered a balance of acidity and sweetness, and the texture of the fish meat was tender enough. Unfortunately I couldn’t taste miso from the miso cheesecake, but the sake marinated cherries...

Most things we had to ask for twice. To get drink deliveries: Average wait was 15-20m. Food was salty as noticed across our table. Service could be improved significantly. Apparently “trout” and “salmon” are the same thing here? Bright side: karaoke was pretty nice downstairs and food looked pretty. Even to the end having to try to pay via card like 4x with multiple card machines put the icing on the cake.

We will try to come back, but these are episodes I would expect from pre-openings nights for new restaurants. Not ones that have been...

Unfortunately not the very best experience! Very affected by a poor service where ordering a drink to the table could take more than 20 minutes and two reminders to the staff… as well they had a tendency of not cleaning up the table at all every time they were coming accumulating all the stuff on the table by the end of the dinner.

They just acknowledge the poor service after complaining, otherwise seemed natural.
