De personal jag har rĂ„kat trĂ€ffa pĂ„ hĂ€r, ligger kompetensmĂ€ssigt lĂ„ngtifrĂ„n vad som borde anses vara minimalt för att överhuvudtaget fĂ„ jobba med direkta kundkontakter. Deras bemötande, attityd och mentalitet sticker isĂ€r med vad Elgiganten hĂ€vdar i alla sina kvitton, nĂ€mligen ”Nöjda kunder Ă€r det viktigaste för oss pĂ„ Elgiganten!”. Jag hade köpt en integrerad kyl och en matchande frys. Jag hade tömt kylen och frysen enligt vad Elgiganten hade föreskrivit (stĂ€ngt av 4 timmar före och torkat). Men frysen var leveransskadad och jag fick returnera bĂ„da kylen och frysen (en order vĂ€rd 24 tusen kronor). Jag gick till butiken pĂ„ Kungsgatan för att lĂ€gga in en ny bestĂ€llning. En ung, lĂ„ng kille med skĂ€gg och hĂ„ret i hĂ€stsvans tar emot mig. Efter att ha kollat bestĂ€llningen i datorn meddelade han att det inte fanns mer av den sortens kyl och frys och jag mĂ„ste göra en ny bestĂ€llning. Han sa ocksĂ„ att fakturan var lĂ„st och att vid ny bestĂ€llning mĂ„ste jag betala fullt för nya kyl och frysen. Men han sa att den förra fakturan kommer att Ă„terbetalas till mig inom kort. Han blev alltmer stressad och bad mig att Ă„terkomma dagen efter, men jag insisterade att problemet mĂ„ste lösas innan jag gĂ„r hem. Det mĂ€rktes snart att han var obekvĂ€m med situationen, orutinerad, stressad och började bli vĂ€ldigt frĂ€ck och ovĂ€nligt och otĂ„ligt. Plötsligt mitt i pĂ„gĂ„ende bestĂ€llning av ny kyl och frys, sa att han att hans arbetstid var slut och sen gick han dĂ€rifrĂ„n. Jag fick hjĂ€lp av en annan vid disken. Hon hittade andra matchande produkter och sĂ„g till att summan hamnade pĂ„ samma nivĂ„ som förra köpet. Leveransen skulle ske den 22:a december. Jag betalade för den nya bestĂ€llningen och gick hem. Min leverans kom den 22:a december. Killarna var vĂ€ldigt trevliga och justa. Det tog ca 80-90 minuter att installera bara kylskĂ„pet. De kom kl 10:30 och gick 14:15. Den ena av killarna fick Ă„ka ivĂ€g till nĂ€sta kund mitt i pĂ„gĂ„ende installation och kom tillbaka efter en timme. Mina gamla kyl och frys va anslutna till en förlĂ€ngningskabel. Jag fick ringa eljouren för att fĂ€sta eluttaget pĂ„ vĂ€ggen. Killarna frĂ„n Movator gick utan att ha installerat frysen. Jag gick till butiken igen. NĂ€rvarande chefen i butiken pĂ„ Kungsgatan blev genast irriterad och otrevlig nĂ€r hon fick höra att jag inte hade förberett ett eluttag fast i vĂ€ggen enligt avtalet. Hon kunde dock inte ta fram nĂ„got stöd i underlaget som styrkte hennes pĂ„stĂ„ende om att kunden mĂ„ste ha förberett med eluttag som sitter fastskruvad pĂ„ vĂ€ggen. Hon sa avfĂ€rdande att det var en sjĂ€lvklarhet och alla borde veta det. Jag gick hem, och funderade pĂ„ att visst kan saker och ting gĂ„ fel, och det Ă€r helt ok om man gör sitt bĂ€sta. Men pĂ„ den hĂ€r butiken verkar det som om en del anstĂ€llda kan inte göra annat Ă€n att be kunden komma tillbaka dagen efter, ifall kunden kommer in med ett problem och vill ha service.

Today I purchased a joystick on the second floor and later wanted to buy iPhone 15 Pro. Although I had the funds, my card required a signature for the transaction, which was not accepted by the store. Despite providing my ID, passport, and all necessary documents, they refused, claiming that a signature isn't secure and anyone could find a card on the street. This reasoning was ridiculous and discriminatory, especially since I had all my documents. The experience was awful. I even showed them the transaction had gone through on my bank's end, but they claimed it would be canceled within a few hours. I had no choice but to wait and see if that was true. I definitely do not recommend this place. The blonde man (I don't recall his name) who served us was extremely rude.

Jag tror att hans namn Ă€r Daniel Nab, enligt kvittot. Sedan fick jag betala 599kr för att köpa ett skĂ€rmskydd till min iPhone 15, och det hĂ€r priset Ă€r helt galet med tanke pĂ„ att jag hade betalat 495 kr pĂ„ Apple Store, men jag gick vidare, betalade, och han monterade skĂ€rmskyddet pĂ„ min iPhone. NĂ€r jag fick min iPhone tillbaka sĂ„ sĂ„g jag nĂ„got jag inte hade förvĂ€ntat mig. SkĂ€rmskyddet bestod av plast och det hade blivit skuret och anpassat av butikssĂ€ljaren, och det sĂ„g inte heller bra gjort ut. Dessutom, dĂ€rför att jag Ă€r ocksĂ„ medlem, kunde jag se vilka produkter jag köpte och varje produkt kan öppnas pĂ„ webben. Det gĂ„r inte att öppna det dyra skĂ€rmskyddet av plast som jag fick. Existerar det överhuvudtaget? Jag kan bara avrĂ„da frĂ„n att besöka den hĂ€r butiken och skulle vara glad över nĂ„got svar angĂ„ende den hĂ€r hĂ€ndelsen. Tack.

I went there to buy a phone and a number of other items for close to 9k SEK. Salesperson wasn't particularly helpful, and seemed annoyed to assist me when i asked about buying a phone. I proceeded nonetheless to purchase a few things and pay with a foreign credit card (Amex), and I signed on the payments terminal, as instructed by said terminal. The transaction went through, no problem.

Then the salesperson told me that i shouldn't have signed but used a PIN instead. This Amex card doesn't work w a PIN, although it does have a chip. Again, the transaction was approved, and i received a confirmation, and a receipt was printed. At that point, the goods were mine.

Yet, the the salesperson (Marcus), after I paid and a receipt was issued, took all the stuff I had just bought and disappeared in the back of the store with it (he basically took the stuff from me after I paid - that's stealing and he was keeping me in the store against my will while i was waiting for him to return). He told me that my card wasn't allowed in the store (again, payment had gone through and I offered to show him two pieces of IDs). He then proceeded without my consent to issue a refund and put my purchases back on the shelves. I asked him why, and his response was "there must be a good reason why we wouldn't take your payment. There's always a good reason for these policies". He was basically implying that the card wasn't legit or was stolen. He never apologized, and never asked if I wanted to pay with a different method. He just put stuff back on shelves and was expecting me to leave. Another shopper actually called him out in front of his colleagues, saying this wasn't a way to treat a customer.

I've shopped from Gigantti in Finland for years and have an account there, which the staff at this store was able to access. There were a million ways to verify my identity, to offer me to pay with another method, and above all, to not accuse me of trying to steal. I ended up dealing w other sales people to buy the stuff I needed, and they said it was only a communication problem. They couldn't have cared less about my experience.

If you're a foreigner, beware. My recommendation is to not bother visiting this store. Staff will actively discriminate against you and make you feel unwelcome. I'd recommend using mediamarkt or shopping from online retailers. Very disappointed and feeling deeply insulted. The fact that no employee in the store cared to properly and sincerely apologise is quite disturbing.

PS: in their response, the staff / customer support says some sad excuse about using EU standards for card security and not accepting international Amex. This isn't true. I went to another elgiganten location in Stockholm just today and paid with the exact same card to test. So yes, this was pure discrimination from that specific employee / store, which I knew all along since that original payment had succeeded. The store on Regeringsgatan instead had friendly staff who seemed to trust that I wasn't there to steal based...

Alert! bad service for brown and black people at Elgiganten store in Kungsgatan, Stockholm If you are brown or black, please don’t go to Elgiganten store in Kungsgatan, Stockholm because the staff there are racist. Their attitude is very bad towards brown and black people. Today, I went there to return Michael Kors smartwatch which I bought it three weeks ago. I bought it for my wife on our anniversary. Today is our anniversary and when I started setting up this watch I found that there is an issue with charging. Elgiganten offers a 30-day money back guarantee but, to my surprise, I found out that they don’t offer this guarantee on broken products. If you buy some product from them and bring it to your home and after unboxing you found that the product is broken then they will not take it back because that product is broken and they can’t sell it to other customers. “Giselle S” at support counter told me that. She said she would have taken it back, if I would have told her that I don’t like this watch. But on the contrary, I told her truth and I am getting penalized for telling the truth. I didn’t understand their policy so I started arguing with her and I told her that I want to speak with the store manager. She lied and told me that she is the store manager but later on she told me that she is the support manager. I asked her why did you lie then she shouted at me and I said why you are shouting at me. I was arguing with her but I didn’t raise my voice but she did. She lied again and said because I cursed her and I was yelling at her. Soon after this, another guy in support joined her and he was also very rude. He was accusing me of cursing and yelling. I told him that during all this discussion I never raised my voice but you both did. After that, I left the store and I was thinking why they treated me like that. I think I was insulted because I am brown and I was speaking English with them. They think that I am an uneducated person from 3rd world country and they can treat me like this and can get away. Their treatment was very different with Swedish people. They were much nicer to them. After that, I called Elgiganten customer support and told them what just happened to me. The lady in the support was really nice and she told me that they can’t raise their voice even if you have shouted/yelled at them. I paid Elgiganten 2000 sek for this watch and I think I paid them to insult me because the way they treated me. I left the watch at the store and I don’t want it back. It is ok in both cases If they can pay me back or not. I will not buy anything from them in future. Not happy with the service.

I gave my laptop for reparation and I see the customer service and this shop along with the workshop that reparations were supposed to take place in are not on the same page as the other at all. and they asked me to call each of them when they did not communicate properly so I had to call and visit the shop many times I need the end my laptop was not even fixed.

After discussions they told me that I would be contacted the same day or the day after tomorrow on fuel occasions and most of the time I was not called back even after a few days so I had to revisit or call back again . They did not listen to the instructions. Therefore I had to repeat myself many times.

The service was terrible the arrangement between Kungsgatan store and customer service and the workshop was terrible. one would say something the other would say the opposite and they always passed me on to each other. It would ask me to contact the other entity instead of them contacting their colleagues.

Especially the Kungsgatan store was the worst. they were supposed to contact me four times and they didn't and each time the customer service apologized when I called them and they said they will remind them to do it but they didn't.

on top of that one representative with advice me to send the laptop back again for assessment which was going to cost me another bill while the other representative told they could not do more assessments and provide more details on the issue of the laptop.

I had to go to the store six times because cuz the store would not come back to me when they said they woud . on email they would apologize but in the store it was as if they are not aware of anything.

The worst was the customer service manager called Mahdi Khorrami the last day I was trying to take my laptop back. Very rude and irresponsible. He did not take any responsibility over what his team was doing and very rudely he just told me either you pay the fee or I'm not giving you the laptop without even feeling sorry for the terrible job Kungsgatan was doing . very boldly he said whatever the team members did wrong it's their fault and has nothing to do with him.

At the end I did not get any explanation( report )on what was wrong with the laptop so that it could be provided to the insurance company. The report I got only mentioned the "not powering up issue" that I mentioned the first day to them, they did not add anything to it although they investigated it. It took one and a half months, tens of calls and emails and visits to the store and a bill of 772 sek to getting the same place we were in...
