High expectations, low delivery. Price/quality ratio a bit off. Our friends recommended this restaurant to us. We went to check it out. We were hungry and ordered some edamame while figuring out the rest of the food. So far so good. They arrived quickly, but really overcooked and super salty. I’ve heard they loke salty, but this was next level. So tell them you want less, if you’re not into that. Anyway... our bad. The staff then came twice within 2 minutes to ask for drink and we told them we needed a bit more time. After this it was impossible to get their attention. They walked past, we waved. The floormanager was constantly on the phone, so no help there. When we finally got his attention, he leaned over a divider and looked at us as if to say: ‘what do you want?’ We told him we wanted to order drinks and asked him for advice on Saké. He had to check the menu to see what saké they had. The only advice we got was: this is an easy beginner saké and these are a bit stronger. The way he checked out the menu, it was as if he didn’t know they had sake. Really weird. Next we ordered food; lobster taco, halibut, corn and shrimp. The time it took for the food to arrive to our table was crazy. For such small portions, it took half an hour for the halibut and taco’s and another half hour for the corn and shrimp. Taste wise... Taco’s were pretty good. Lots of flavours mixed, but well balanced and accentuated. Shells were nice and crisp. Portion was fine for two to share. Halibut was nice as well. Nice sauce, rice well prepared. Nice accent on the sour flavour, but not overpowering the fish. Perfect. Corn was ok. Crisp, but the taste was not exciting. Last, the shrimp. Tiny, and the flavouring overpowered the shrimp. A bit spicy. Vibe was nice. Not too busy or noisy. Just right. Lighting was cozy, but a bit bright. Can’t really complain. It’s a shame for this pricepoint, expected much more.

Fiance and I here for my birthday at the end of August. We had 2 cocktails, wine and tasting menu. The cocktails were good and the wine is good though somewhat overpriced but that's ok. The food is very good and the presentation was fantastic. We both immensely enjoyed every course everything made us smile. The decor in the place is subtle yet nice and our water came to us enough times which was good. The price of the food is super compared to the quality and we would recommend the place to go there. The reason for the 3 stars is that we had mentioned to the staff that my fiance is severely allergic to nuts, including coconut. We were told that there may be some in the dessert but it wilö be accommodated. However, when the dessert comes out (it is a bit dark inside) my fiance noticed her dessert had coconut savings underneath. If she had eaten that its a trip straight to the hospital! The water (it was a new waiter compared to the main course) apologised and a new dessert came out about 10minutes later. It spoiled our night a bit as we really did specific this as soon as we sat down and ordered! If this hadn't happened we would have given a 5 star rating as the food was superb.

Lobster taco was average, didn't really taste much, very plain, 6/10. The sashimi was pretty yummy, the tuna wasn't stringy, 9/10. The salmon tartar was interesting, really nice but it had a lot of vinegar, 9/10. The mushroom dumplings were delicious!! My favourite thing, it had so much flavour, 10/10. The meat was okay, I liked the raw meat that was under the meat above a lot more, 7/10. The black cod was good but a little too salty, it was too flavourful and needed something more than the ginger to break it off, but the veggies were delicious, 8/10. You can get better mochi at your local asian market. It didn't taste good at all, I'm very disappointed, 2/10. I was really surprised by the dessert, it was very low quality and had the texture of a dish sponge, I would have spit it out if I could, the flavour was awful. "Who even let this on the menu" I thought to myself, 1/10. My stomach hurt a lot after the meal and the day after I got food poisoning.

No idea what happened to this place last night. I’ve been visiting this place occasionally during the past 10 years - yesterday was the first time I was really disappointed.

Long story short - asked for a dry wine, was recommended an Alsace… from Portugal. When your bill is +€100/person, you gotta know your wines better.

I ordered the omakase but my last dish wasn’t the one they said I would get when I initially asked. Instead of lamb, I got a fish. It was still ok, but again, shouldn’t happen.

One of my dishes was served to the other person at the table. They forgot to bring a spoon with the soup I got served.

I asked for genmaicha tea, which they informed they didn’t have and suggested a different one, which I said I was happy to try. Now, just out of kindness, the next time you suggest this to someone, maybe just pre-warn them that this tea smells and tastes like smoked salami. Just a suggestion.

Overall I felt really unwelcome and the decision to celebrate 4 years with my fiancé here was a big mistake.

Such a shame for a place I used to love going to. You...
