Food that is made love from scratch with vegan/non vegan choice. A MUST GO, MUST TRY AUTHENTIC KOREAN MINI FOOD RESTAURANT. HIDDEN GEM. We walked pass this interesting nice decor Korean food place and saw a person making kimchi. I think she is the owner. I got curious as seldom in Stockholm would someone made kimchi from scratch. People usually sell the packet and it is nothing like the homemade kind. As we know, Korean delicates are not easy to make, you need fresh ingredients, marinate them and it is "alot" of work. The side by side attached (1) Kitchen (2) Small restaurant cater for one table 6 seats only facing cashier and the view of the lake made the little place charming, humble and comfortable to sit. We were served "Kombucha tea" and owner told us, she has began to brew today and wanted us to try. It was GOOD. I will call next time and order that too. I saw they have (1) Some interesting marinated pickles kimchi, vegetables, vegan choices, spicy and non spicy choices (I can't take too spicy) and selling at 50sek per (Burk pΓ₯ Svenska) small buckle with printed date on it. (See photo) I love how hygenic it looks the whole place and the buckle of pickles and I am thrilled to try their food and buy home the pickles to try. It is HOMEMADE and I always feel that homemade food tastes so much better. True enough, it sure was. We ordered 2 portions of Bimbiba with chicken takeaway. The owner told us she only have one portion of rice left so we say it is Ok, we will share, just one then. The owner came out with a big box, she was so nice that she was afraid we don't have enough to eat that she served us TWO PORTIONS OF BIMBIBA BUT CHARGEONE PRICING ONLY. I am lost of words because this reminds me of people who care about others, made food with love, non-calculative, and heartwarming individual who made real good food for others. They truly love what they do! I brought this for dinner and when we got back, the food was cold, and I heat it up (the rice only) and realised not only was the ingredients double portions, she literally gave me two lovely BIMBIBA style eggs, even TOFU and Chicken. Actually the rice was also quite a large portion. I knew the pricing was just for One with the choice of Chicken or Tofu., 99sek/109sek (if I recall correctly) but she gave me TWO extra protein. When I ate the food, it tastes GOOD, FRESH, AND I am lost of words as I ate with gratitude, feeling joy, the food was really fresh. The pickles, the vegetables are all so fresh and fragrance that I wish more restaurants exist like this instead of being monopolize by big players, lousy ingredients, overwork chefs that don't care about quality non any love for food. How many of such places like this one exists in this society? Very rare. IamΒ impressed by the fresh ingredients, they have vegan choices too. The owner was nice, friendly and very warm. You can feel it when speaking to her. She spoke in English and carefully explain my question on pickles and told me this pancake powder I took was her favorite brand. It is tasty and crispy to make pancake. She really left a deep impression on me as she spoke with passion. They also have fried rice with egg in their menu. I have yet to try. I will try the next round. I brought the soya marinated pickles, pancake powder and a meal from her. The packaging of the BIMBIBA is via hard paper not plastic which made it NONTOXIC and environmentally friendly. The chili sauce (not so spicy) seems like handmade too, because it is very tasty too! Please try out this authentic Korean food made with love, support small honest business, an owner who cares about what they serve to us, healthy, fresh,...
Β Β Β Read moreThe place is on a charming location, overlooking a beautiful river. Upon entering, you are greeted very kindly by the owner who explained to us what all the kimchi types were and what she recommended. The prices were fair and comparable to what you could buy in Asia markets but the kimchi here is handmade!! The small 450g box was 75kr which is perfect to try out different types of kimchi. Overall this place had everything you could want if you love kimchi at an...
Β Β Β Read moreItβs not been easy to find authentic oriental food in Stockholm, especially after years living in London and Shanghai, which makes this place so special and precious. I personally would prefer a little sweeter and more shrimp sauce flavor to the kimchi but what they are making is already the best in town. We are lucky to live nearby so I replenish almost every week. The cabbage kimchi is rather suitable to fry with pork, or used in...
