Having 15+ years experience and managing a large Muay Thai gym in the US, I came to Manasak Muay Thai with 6 students for 3 weeks to train. Lisa (the gym manager) speaks fluent English, is a great communicator and an overall awesome human. From reaching out via Instagram for information, all the way to our first training session, getting set up was a breeze thanks to her (this can be a challenge with many gyms in Thailand). The gym was clean and facilities up to date with no mold anywhere. The bags felt great with both, harder/heavier ones, and lighter/softer ones.
The warmups were creative and during shadow boxing / bag work, trainers were actively walking around and correcting bad technique (this is important because some gyms leave you to your own devices, even if you're building bad habits). The pad work was top notch. The trainers push you to your limits (and a little beyond =]) while never sacrificing good technique and proper body mechanics. They genuinely care and take pride in their craft while never forgetting that Muay Thai is fun!! Technique partner drills are innovative with attention to details and included priceless gold nuggets of wisdom from trainers.
The gym culture is very healthy with coaches keeping an eye on everyone during sparring/clinching to make sure contact stays light and fast. This is so important because we've all been to that one gym where it's just one giant battle of egos. There is a push to minimize injuries so members can train and compete regularly. Now, this is a fight gym so be ready to WORK. In the 3 weeks there, we went to at least 6 local fights where Manasak students competed (and won every time). Even 3 of the trainers traveled to Bangkok to fight at Rajademnern!!
The experiences and memories created here will last a lifetime and I can confidently recommend this gym to anyone looking to learn the beautiful sport of Muay Thai.

The gym has great facilities with lots of bags and great space. The gym accomodation is very good value and clean. Great location and walking distance to lots of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants 🤤

She is also a world class fighter who is actively training onsite ❤️ Kru Manasak is very passionate and a true master in his craft. Very surreal having the opportunity to spend so much time learning from the legend himself. He knows how to push you while keeping it safe and fun. He always goes above and beyond with his teaching. He genuinely cares about my progress. I learnt so much and will be forever grateful 🙏 Kru Chiang is very friendly and always makes the effort to say hello and chat to everyone. I really appreciate him spending the time to do sparring drills with me and fixing my techniques 🤩 Kru Ton is an active Fighter. Really inspiring to see him train. He is super fast and strong! Read moreMy father and I had a wonderful month in Manasak muaythai gym. Actually, my father always tried to lose weight because he has some health problems such as high blood lipids. But he always failed. One night two months ago. I told him he can try muaythai to lose weight. Then we chose here, Manasak muaythai gym, which has the best location in chiangmai. It’s really closed to the city centre. The trainers here were seasoned fighters, they are all friendly and enthusiastically pass on their muaythai knowledges. Main coach Manasak is easygoing and humorous, we can always learn from him happily. He takes good care of every student, my father isn’t very fit, so kru Manasak always puts my father in first round of pad work. We really appreciate that. After a month of training, my father’s health has improved a lot. The best thing is he has made exercise a habit, now he always jogs 5km after dinner. I also have improved a lot in a month of training. I think I’m stronger than before. When I just arrived here few days, I was really exhausted after three sets of pad work that I felt like crying.
