A once great market turned good. Once a lively buzz and the center of attention in Krabi. In 2022 noticeable less push here. I wonder if this is due to the Covid lockdown. Still, this is the place to go to for fresh produce like fish, meat, fruits and veggies. The fish is separated into its own hall, and that’s considerate thinking of the people not standing the smell of fish. The market opens early… real early and seems to ease down around 10-ish. But many stalls hangs on until today’s goods are sold anyway. A few stalls sells clothes, souvernirs and miscellaneous. This is a proper Thai market. Outside you’ll also find carts selling different delicious foods. Come early and get your breakfast here, and grab all you need of fruits and foods for today. We tried it when we went Phuket and determined to buy these curry paste from Thailand as the ingredients are freshly pounded. And it’s cheaper than those commercially available. The mixtures are also well balanced accordingly.
