My absolute favourite place to eat in Krabi or Ao Nang (I live near both). As a farang, I was craving European food. Ordered the heuvos rotos and the tomatoes with toast (can't remember the proper name). Both outstanding and I'm still bursting two hours later. Also had a chococcino coffee, which is divine. The wonderful owner proudly told me about the fresh, local coffee they use. This told me she's extremely passionate and knowledgeable about what she does. It was clear that this level of attention was given to everything on the menu.
My thai girlfriend (who is herself an excellent cook and works in the street food industry) was very impressed by the thai food she ordered.
The lady owner was thai and told me her husband is Spanish (although he wasn't there on our visit). This explains the excellent variety of local and Mediterranean dishes. There are also a lot of veggie options. It's hard to find proper veggie stuff in Thailand so I'll be bringing my daughter here when she...
Read moreIf you come to Krabi or pass by, make sure to come to this cafe. My boyfriend and I needed to have breakfast early in the morning as we were leaving for Koh Phi Phi and Signature Thai was the only place open at that time in Krabi town. That was perfect though, as the breakfast was amazing and so were the prices! The options are very varied and address multiple dietary restrictions. We ordered a continental breakfast with a very big croissant and a bowl of oatmeal and fresh fruit. It was so pretty it kept me full until longer than lunchtime. I love tea so I was happy to see that their variety of teas is also incredible, and you can buy the leaves to brew them at home. They also sell coffee. We liked the place so much that we went back for another breakfast on our way back from Koh Phi Phi and we bought some tea as souvenir for our families and...
Read moreI've found a very special tea house. Started by a young lady just before COVID, then forced to close for 4 years, it's recently re-opened. Nam makes all the huge variety of specially blended teas, including several from different parts of coffee plants, plus delicious cakes and pastries. She's fluent in English, married to a Spanish teacher and has two sons. The coffee is grown and roasted by a local family and is the smoothest and most rounded I've tasted. Another local lady makes the beautiful nut and seed mini biscuits which are served with coffee.
Nam has done all the stylish decorating herself including creating unique hanging lights out of teapots!
