HuQQabaz Taksim Grand Pera — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

We’ve visited this place four times over the past week. Despite the high prices and lack of a view, we kept coming back because it’s one of the few spots that feels a bit family-friendly. Our first three visits were genuinely good – decent food, comfortable atmosphere, and an overall positive experience.13% service charge!???

However, our most recent visit completely changed our impression. The service was shockingly bad. A lady working there was rude, and the staff in general seemed to completely ignore us. We asked for the heater to be turned on, and instead of helping, they laughed behind our backs. We decided to brush it off, but it left a really sour taste.

If you’re considering going, I’d suggest avoiding mornings – that’s when we experienced this poor service. The staff just didn’t seem interested in providing any level of proper service. For the first time in my whole life of 10 years visiting Turkey each year for at least a month, I have such a rude person in a cafe.

Problem 1: wrong hookah to the table. Which was then corrected by our waiter. Problem 2: Nargile failed and some parts dropped. Which they changed.

All of this is fine. The real problem was when I paid the bill. I usually tip big except if the restaurant adds “Service Fees”. This order had 110 TL in service fee which is fine however, I paid in cash and had 50 TL left (small amount I know) and the waiter at the cash asked if I wanted the 50 TL back, I answered with yes please. He goes and disappears and when it was time to leave a few minutes after, I go to this extremely arrogant person with a weird mustache at the door asking for the waiter and he goes, 50 TL is nothing, bye bye. So he technically kicked me out without me saying anything.

Second time writing a comment about you restaurant specifically Kuwait Branch.Since writting the last comment hosts are discrimating customers infront of me. Last friday I went and waited like other customers and waited for about an hour, putting in mind that they are letting the “regular customers” in without waiting however I am one of the regular customers and you can check that with your payments. In addition, when I told (guldana and zypargul)to call Mr. Baris, she called another supervisor and laughing and I told her whats funny!!! Is this your customer service really !!!
