My daughter and I went for the turkish hamam and massage package during our visit to Istanbul in May. It started off with sauna and steam room followed by the hamam. Ari and Elerna (I hope I have spelt her name right) looked after us really well. The whole hamam experience followed by the massage was amazing. Their technique was really good and I can honestly say it was the best massage I have ever had. I have had massages in England and India and this beats all of them. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the massage room was next to the lobby where people were in and out for foot massages. So it wasn’t a quiet zen atmosphere as you would normally expect during a massage. The girls were lovely though and kept apologising for the noise which was clearly not their fault. They took their time with the massage and at no point did we feel rushed. Another thing to note is that the changing rooms are also next to the reception/ lobby so you will end up walking past strangers after your hamam to use the changing rooms. The girls provided us enough towels to cover ourselves properly and we weren’t too bothered about it but it is something to keep in mind. The hamam area itself is nice and clean. It obviously doesn’t have the traditional dome that Hamams have but for the price we paid, there is no complaining. Overall great service, cost effective and they really treat you well. Would definitely recommend if you want to experience the hamam but don’t want to pay...
Read moreOutstanding massages - a must-visit! My wife and I visited yesterday for a 30 minute foot massage and 60 minute full body aromatherapy massage. We both agreed they were the best messages we have ever had! (We’re from the UK and often get a massage when we travel abroad, too). Every stroke felt so intentional, not a moment of time was wasted. My wife’s therapist noticed mid-massage that she had lots of tension in her back and shoulders and offered to switch to a Thai massage which turned out to be exactly what she needed to relieve the pain and tension. We left feeling utterly relaxed and rejuvenated and would definitely book again if we were staying any longer or if we return to Istanbul.
There were a few other elements which also made this a great experience overall - easy online booking, prices were very reasonable, free tea served during the foot massage, lockers to leave your things in safely and a shower to wash off afterwards.
The only downside was that the foot massage chairs are in the reception area where other clients are coming and going and the massage rooms aren’t soundproof so you can hear noise from the reception area during the massage. I would recommend putting a sign on the main door to kindly request visitors to speak quietly as massages are in progress nearby. Nevertheless, do not let you put this off visiting this spa as the quality of the treatments more than make up for this minor...

An Unforgettable Spa Experience in Istanbul
Christa and I treated ourselves to Package 3 at the Let’s Relax Royal Galata Spa & Turkish Bath — and it was one of the absolute highlights of our journey so far.
From the moment we stepped in, Mert made us feel like royalty. He is not just an excellent host and true professional, but also a great conversationalist who knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere. His service was faultless.
Erna and Tikka took care of our treatments, and they were outstanding in every aspect — gentle, skilled, and wonderfully friendly. The full experience, from the massage to the coffee peeling and facial mask, was pure bliss. By the end, we were as clean and relaxed as two people could be.
It was Day 13 of our 28-day #wfa journey in Türkiye, and this afternoon will stay with us for a long time. We left glowing, both inside and out.
Highly recommended if you are anywhere near the Galata area in Istanbul. You will not regret it.
Warm regards, Kobus Kleyn, CFP® #workingfromanywhere...
