Good products, but rude staff name Joyce.

Usually when i buy dates from there, staffs are friendly or at least do their job right. She was dropping dates to the box, from 15cm height, thus bouncing and hitting the dividers inside. First, i thought she was doing it because the dates were sticky, but kept on doing it (i think it’s because she only had glove in one hand, and was hard to control). I asked her “would you please don’t drop the dates?” And she replied “then how should i put it” in a mocking tone. I told her “you can place it directly inside the box, so the dates don’t bounce around” and she started doing as i asked, but no apology, only giving attitude as if i was asking something that i wasn’t supposed to.

Then at the end, while she was grabbing three dates with one hand, she dropped one in a counter, i saw her grabbing the dropped one with the same hand that other two dates are in, so i said “would you please don’t put the dropped one in the box”, then she rolled her eyes and said “i wasn’t going to”

If she wasn’t going to, i wonder why she picked up with same hand that has two date already in it.

The look of the product inside the box was horrible. It’s meant to be for gift, and it was supposed to be nicely displayed. Few were facing down, few were facing up. I went home and placed it back in a nicely myself.

Incredibly slow service by a trainee, and we were provided very inaccurate information. We bought a large Ramadan gift box (per Bateel’s website, the Amal box) of filled dates, which we were told weighs a kilo. It took forever. And when it came time to pay, the price was 345 AED. We had originally asked about a different box design, which was for 335 AED. Nobody told us this design cost more. It’s a small difference, but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. The trainee was assisting us, but her manager did nothing when I loudly commented on the matter. As it turns out, we walked by the Bateel cafe in the mall shortly thereafter, and I saw they had prepackaged versions of this box, which state that the weight is 865 grams (see image), and not 1 kg. Moreover, the trainee appears to have charged us for a different box name than what we got, based on what her manager told her to ring up from the back (she kept asking for instructions). The same box appears to be for 320 AED on the website, and to make matters worse, the weight on the website is 864 grams and not 1kg. I...
