Update: So i had a call from the owner Lisa after leaving my honest review and experience below. Straight off the bat she was rude and argumentative, harassing me because i left a "negative" review exposing her disgusting salon practices and incompetent staff. Not once did she ask me to explain what had happened, nor have the decency to apologise for my traumatising experience. Its no surprise to me anymore why people at this place have bad customer service and zero manners - look at the BOSS. Fully standby all that ive written and all has confirmed this is one of the WORST practices in the beauty industry. 1million% AVOID if you want to protect your own lashes.

Firstly, absolutely shocking that this place runs an "academy" upstairs. Reasons being it was full of bad practices, from general lash tech (Jade) to manager (Rhiannon), and highly unprofessional overall.

One of the worst lash extension experiences ive had: No assessment of natural lashes or basic consultation prior to treatment. No pre-treatment routine, usually my lashes are cleansed/primed at other salons. Eye pads were placed too close to eyes and scratched eyeballs so my eyes were red and irritated after treatment. At no point was i asked if the pads felt ok. Very poor application of lashes - they were twisted and facing wrong directions and applied too close touching my eyelid skin. No separation of natural lashes - i noticed there were many lashes that were stuck together afterwards. I was given CLUSTER LASHES when i asked for individual classic lashes!?! Most likely they wanted to get the job done quickly and have me off their case (since i went back 2nd time to have my incomplete full set "fixed") so these would make my lashes appear fuller quicker without having to apply individual ones.

You can see in the photo after i had them professionally removed, how thick the lash bases were and many of my own lashes were pulled out due to using too much glue and poor application. The lashes were way too long and heavy for my thin and short lashes. They felt heavy and painful to wear hence i had them taken out after a week as they were just too uncomfortable and irritating. Not to mention very unflattering, i requested for an "open-eye dolly look", but it looked like i was struggling to open my eyes as a result - clearly lashes were too heavy and too much for my own lashes. Unsurprisingly, the retention was very poor - more than half fell out after a week despite the correct aftercare.

Waste of money and caused so much pain and damage to my own lashes!!!

Customers: This is the PRIME EXAMPLE of how lash extensions can be so damaging - incorrectly applied with zero care for the client's own lashes. Please go elsewhere, it's not worth the cheap price. You honestly get what you pay for.

My review is mainly about the Academy!

I traveled all the way from Belize, Central America, and after doing some research, I chose to complete my microblading, skin needling/facial course, and dermal filler course here. I might have taken other courses during the time frame of 2019-2021, but I even saved up after my first course and returned because I genuinely believed this school could help me on my path in aesthetics and skin treatments.

I paid a considerable amount for the aesthetics course, and after training with Lisa, who was lovely, I felt like I wasn't confident enough to inject. This was due to an incident where the last model experienced vascular occlusion, which wasn't resolved until later that night. I was only informed that if I had taken pictures of the client, they could address the situation, but we had no demonstration on how to dissolve lips in case of emergencies. As a result, I was left with just the theory we learned, which was incredibly discouraging, and I chose not to offer the service because I didn’t feel confident.

Because of all this, I reached out to Lisa on WhatsApp, asking for her help with a refresher course to help rebuild my confidence since I wanted to add this service to my offerings. She replied, inviting me to join a refresher session with another student. However, I was only given a date without a specific time, and I had to keep messaging her until the morning of the treatment, when I was informed that she wouldn’t be conducting the course that day after all. Lisa mentioned she would check other dates and get back to me, but I am still waiting for her response.

I have been following their page and noticed Lisa holding courses, but my messages have gone unanswered. I reached out multiple times, even called, pleading for assistance. At one point, I was willing to arrange a one-on-one session, but she continued to ignore my messages. I also saw on Instagram that other students were injecting and realized that they don’t seem to care about reaching out to past students who are seeking help.

I now realize that I chose the wrong academy after reaching out to some truly great ones. I am still waiting for their invite and, honestly, I no longer feel motivated to continue with an academy where I feel ignored. What can I say the first time I walked into this beautiful salon 12 months ago have never looked back was greeted by the beautiful arianna with that smile and so very pleasant and makes you feel comfortable while waiting for a procedure and I had a beautiful facial and chest area done which left my skin glowing I have had wood therapy with has helped with my lumps and bump perfectly I had Botox 10 months ago and still doing it’s job I have bikini waxing fantastic had the best eyebrow tattoo everybody moments on them said they look fabulous and I have also previously had them waxed and shaped previously also brilliant and just recently had lip blush all though I need a top they are a beautiful colour still and as Lisa explains once topped up them that’s it for a long while….
