I first contacted BYD Bristol South the beginning of June 2025. I booked a test drive of the BYD Sealion 7 for Sunday 15th June. I really enjoyed the car, which I must be honest was a surprise having been an Audi driver for almost 20 years!
Throughout the engagement with BYD Bristol South I have been dealing with the same Sales executive, "Tom Pearce". Tom has been fantastic throughout the entire process, very attentive and not pushy at all.
I test drove VW's and other Audi's but after comparing cost, spec etc I decided to opt for the BYD Sealine 7 Excellence and was expecting to wait for a few months to receive delivery. After many conversations with Tom and email exchanges (in which Tom always answered every question and replied promptly,) Tom managed to find the exact model, colour Spec and he also managed to get it all ready for hand over before the end of June. The whole process took less than two weeks. A fabulous salesman and a credit to the BYD Bristol South team.

The showroom was immaculate, the greeting was warm from all of the staff and I was given a private area where I was treated like a VIP and given a gift box containing some very useful items and a card signed by all of the staff congratulating me on my purchase. It was the kind of service I would expect from a very premium brand like Bentley or RR if I was collecting a vehicle, which made the effort all the more impressive because I simply was not expecting any of it. I have bought much more expensive vehicles and not received anywhere near the level of customer care and attention as I did at this dealership.
The sales representative who took care of me Shakira Newson was absolutely amazing. I was very impressed with her detailed knowledge of the product and her passion for the BYD brand and was very patient and thorough giving me a detailed tour of the car and answering all of my questions.
When it was time to leave I was almost quite sad! But it was okay because I was driving a new car that I absolutely love and I think there is a very high chance that I will end up becoming a BYD customer for life after this - THANK YOU to all the staff at BYD...
