Lidl — Local services in Bristol

I visit this store fairly often as it is close to where I work and am normally pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the store, the friendliness of the staff and the efficient nature of this branch. Today however on a visit to the store before 9 a.m. I was made to feel like I was somehow keeping the checkout staff from doing something else. I had a little trouble with my Lidl app as it logged out – the young lady seemed to be getting more and more impatient with me despite the fact that was no queue behind me. In fact there were about 4 customers in the entire store. She left me to figure out the app on my own saying let me know when you've got it and I'll come back to the transaction while noisily picking up baskets on the shop floor. I felt frankly very uncared for by this member of staff. When we finally finished the transaction her reactions were terse bordering on impolite, there was no thank you or even a goodbye despite my custom. I visited this store today but before reaching the main gate of store, shift manager(having beard) came to me and told that you visited earlier this store today and can not check-in the store. I was surprised with such a rude behavior of that staff and told him that I am coming in this store after 15 days. He asked me are you sure and then I again asked yes, then he allowed my check-in to store. I faced such problem first time in Bristol that any staff member of any store has denied for check-in. He even not asked a word of sorry. Although I visited after 15 days but I am wondering that if any customer is visiting twice in a day due to some urgent need then how a staff can prevent him to come inside of a store. I pop in to Lidl once a week and it's convenient because it's on my way home from work, I prefer Lidl to the bigger supermarkets because I can pick up my grocery essentials and have a browse of their weekly deals without needing to spend ages walking around a huge shop - I can be in and out of there within minutes!

Since they opened the in-store bakery I've not needed to go anywhere else, the baked buns and breads are really nice and fantastic price. My most regular purchase is a tub of garlic & herb 'crefe' soft cheese and some 'Crusty Croc' (Pringles style) crisps - tasty!!

My only criticism is that they should put more staff on the checkout at busy times, or simply get another till open quicker to reduce the time spent...
