Calverts — Local services in Great Britain

From the moment we entered the showroom the staff were extremely helpful, we went to buy a three piece suite but in the end we decided to have our old Ercol suite recovered. We were shown the Ercol range of fabrics and to help us decide on colour they produced a sample of our carpet. The young man had great input in helping us to decide and he was very patient with us. Eventually when we finally decided the owner of the shop, a very distinguished gentleman, made us a coffee. The showroom itself is like a rabbit warren it goes on and on, their selection of goods is great from cushions, blinds, fabric, furniture. I would recommend this local shop to anyone I was more than satisfied and will certainly...

The stance taken by the directors is ridiculous...I feel so sorry for the staff. I was the only customer in the store by appointment, unable to wear my own mask for fear of contamination...so offensive and so out of touch with the reality of COVID-19 in Somerset.

I’ll be returning the samples I took home and will not place an order for either curtain fabric or furniture, both of which I expressed an interest in.

As a point of interest, I was initially told that if I wanted to look at fabrics and furniture, I’d have to make two separate appointments!!

Do Calverts want to stay...

This shop has a wonderful selection of quality sofas, chairs, beds, carpets & curtains etc. The staff are so very helpful and know what they are talking about, which makes a change. Many years ago, when you went into a shop the staff were polite and courteous, they still are in Calverts. It's a delight...
