Started off ok, but when the company failed to meet my initial requirements the staff namely Cliff & Stef started throwing the toys out the pram and made up accusations that I had upset staff etc. Not a suitable way to conduct business. Maybe mine was a one off isolated case, but I certainly will not be shopping there again.
It is surprising how many reviews happen in a short space of time looks like this company is pleasing a larger audience!
Ok just to reflect on your reply to my review... Update 11/08/21 *Sold me a "Double size" Wheatcroft Grafton 1000 spring mattress but were happy to sell from the "King Size" shop model, which I was told at a later date would be softer than the "Double size" given they both had the same spring count and so why was this not made aware at the point of sale, since, you knew 100% that I needed a "Soft" mattress! Since you like to boast about the fact you exchanged the mattress 3 times, let’s look at that for a moment... 1) I did all of the logistics transporting mattresses to and from the shop apart from a 1 off occasion where you arranged for your driver to drop off 1 mattress. The very first mattress you sold me was the wrong model, and my honesty led me to notify you and return it at my own expense all the way to your store the following morning and having not slept on it, it remained packaged and so I slept on the sofa that very night! Then, having returned the wrong mattress, collected the correct mattress, I drove this back home. Then, several weeks on, I notified you that having given the mattress adequate time for me to adjust to it, it was not feeling like the Shop model. So, your remedy was at that point, to request a like for like replacement from the manufacturer.
This happened, within a reasonable amount of time, and this was the time your driver delivered and collected the old mattress. Once again, I gave it a good few weeks to adjust, just as many bed retailers recommend (standard) and long and behold, it felt just like the old one surprise surprise! So I then contacted you again to inform you this was the case, and at that point, you decided that asking Wheatcroft beds to once again replace like for like was probably not the best solution. So you suggested to me over the telephone, that I should come back once again to your store to try 2 other alternative makes/models within the budget that I spent on the original mattress purchase. This I did, but since you would at no point offer me a refund, I reluctantly had to choose between just 2 other mattresses in the showroom, both of which we well know were not really what you call soft mattresses, and as you mentioned in your reply, I would need to pay a few more hundred pounds to get a "soft" mattress. I explained I was on a low income and that was not an option. You are always very confident in what you recommend to customers, but failed to consult your supplier/s for possible alternative mattresses since you were only happy to sell the limited choice in the showroom. So to summarise, it was mis sold from the beginning, due to the difference in spring tension between the shop model "King size" and the required "Double size" mattress, no refund option (you always refused) and no point in addressing this as a comfort issue, it has been a lot of messing around for me the customer, and I am still not getting a good nights sleep! It is common knowledge, the purchase, has to be fit...
Read moreAfter having a fantastic experience with All About Beds a few years ago we decided to use them again when purchasing a second bed frame and mattress. Their prices are fantastic and the choice on offer is very good. We ordered the bed and mattress on 3rd March and did not receive it until June. There was very minimal contact during this period and we found that we were having to chase the company ourselves regarding the order to the point where we had to ring them to get a slot booked for the bed to arrive. There was a miscommunication regarding the slot so the bed did not arrive until a week after we believed it was due to. Upon its arrival and my partner putting it together we realised that some essential support rods needed to support the frame were missing, rendering the bed unusable. We had also ordered a mattress protector that was also not delivered. At this point we were beginning to feel very disappointed by the lack of communication and service. We emailed the owner Steph regarding this and requested that she look in to the possibility of a partial refund due to the difference in service we received this second time using the company. We finally received the missing parts and the bed was put together for us (something that would normally be an extra charge), which we appreciated. We were informed that the mattress protector was taking longer to deliver due to processes at the factory that makes them. Steph also stated that she would look in to the possibility of the partial refund we requested. Throughout this time we were constantly having to get in contact with them. On many occasions Steph informed us that she would call us back and never did, prompting us to again have to chase. In August we finally decided we had had enough. My partner went to the shop in person to discuss the mattress protector and what was being done regarding the partial refund. Steph informed him that the company that produces the protectors no longer sells them in the UK and that we should have been contacted to refund the price of this. This had never happened and we were once again feeling baffled by the lack of contact and communication. Steph also said that she would be chasing the partial refund of the overall order. My partner provided her with our bank account details and she said we would receive the mattress protector refund within 24 hours. This was on the 20th of August and 10 days later we have still not received it. I myself am absolutely baffled at how this company has been able to run so efficiently with such brilliant reviews and experiences from customers, and yet when something goes wrong or the full service is not able to be provided, all communication fails. We have stated to Steph in polite but very certain terms that we can no longer recommend All About Beds and will certainly not be using them ourselves again. The lack of contact or payment regarding the mattress protector refund has finally prompted me to leave this negative review, which could have been so easily avoided had the company just stayed in contact and been more informative throughout the process....

Total and utter scammers. I had any customers considering buying from this company not to.
We are loyal and nothing but friendly customers who spent the best part of £8,000 with this scamming company. I am currently wide-awake at 02:54 in the morning, not had any sleep, writing this, i have been unable to sleep for many nights, I am riddled with anxiety, literally sick to my stomach, as I have been now for months on end, years in fact, wondering where the refund of the best part of £5,000 for the furniture that we purchased from all About Beds in February 2023, yep February 2023, which they have done NOTHING but mess us around on, which we were sucked into and have been spat out. Ultimately, All About Beds confirmed in writing that All Furniture would be delivered week commencing the 19th of August 2024, we have served all About Beds with the relevant letters, and numerous requests for a refund, as per citizens advice All About Beds are in breach of the consumers right act 2015, for non-delivery of of goods. All About Beds are still holding on to our monies (£5,000) earning interest from us no doubt in their bank account. It’s an utter disgrace. I cannot believe you’ve done this to us after all we showed you was friendliness and good custom. You should be absolutely appalled Steph. Really how can you put is through this hell. We will see you in court and I cannot wait to take you to the cleaners. Get what is rightfully ours back. We will WIN this case. See you in court...
