The Food: Honestly… nothing overly special. Nothing I had made me want it a 2nd time either. For an Asian / Indian fusion I expected much more flavoursome food with way more herbs and spices. Most of it was just, a meat in a sauce with veg. It tasted like the chef was scared of seasoning most things. The chips were damp, the onion bhajis were tragic, the pasta dishes were boring, the duck dish had so little duck in it it may as well have been vegetarian, the chicken tikka tasted bland. And that was the problem… there were so many dishes to try, but so many of them were just bland. While there was a vast number of different dishes (I can’t fault them on selection), I expected so much more flavour-wise. The puddings were awful. Some weird rice pudding thing that was just basmati rice in ambrosia custard that was left to set (we were a party of 8 and all if us found it hilarious that it was even allowed to be served). The ‘pudding’ station was just an almost empty chocolate fountain, and then a few plates of various sweets (heart shaped chocolates and jelly beans). There was also several flies inside (I know, sometimes unavoidable, but the amount of bluebottle around the dessert section was enough for several people to comment on them). The ice cream freezer was also just 3 tubs of ice cream with the lids off, and only 1 scoop for all 3 flavours. You’re a buffet at least have a scoop for each.
Customer Service: Went there on opening night so I assumed it’d be busy. It actually wasn’t too busy. There were some empty tables. The chap that served us asked for a drink order then went and collected. The beer (Cobra, bottled) tasted off. It was also opened before it got to the table. Honestly… it untasted as if it had been watered down. Obviously I have no evidence of that, but just giving my 2 cents in that. When I arrived I walked in and, fortunately, some of the people we went with were already sat down. No one was at the door to greet or walk anyone to their tables.
Overall… it was bad, and I was really disappointed. I, and the 8 person party we went with, will not return here. There were almost no redeeming factors to anything. And the only dish that was actually nice was the garlic chilli chicken which actually had a real nice kick to it. Everything else was bland, tasteless, and just looked unappealing. I cannot stress how awful the pudding ‘selection’ was either. The customer service was non existent. I get it, it was opening night and you expected it to be non stop busy, but at least greet...
Read moreWhat an awful experience- won’t be coming back! Just half an hours after the visit in the restaurant myself and my friend start to feel unwell. Terrible night sleep and we were suffering with food poisoning symptoms. I did not feel so bad for ages!
Food: NOT GOOD, most of the meats either dry/overcooked or burnt.
Many dishes just bland or tasted weird. Some didn’t smell nice so I didn’t even try. Some too greasy, didn’t try those either. Some dishes I didn’t even manage to taste it as were not replaced.
No fresh salads - mainly onions and olives. French fries- awful - dry and hard like cardboard.
Lots of soggy, stodgy food, which all tasted very similar and rather Indian than multi cuisine as supposed to.
Cakes - not good and not much selection.
Apart one girl - most of the staff we’re making weird atmosphere. Couldn’t wait to leave.
Place looks nice but food is awful and overpriced for what it is.
So even I tried the best what was there that still made me unwell- 24 after the visit and still not 100 %.
Save yourself money and bad experience and go somewhere nice like ThaiLimeLeaves Restaurant or Sakura.
Edit: Coco, Thank you for your reply. It might be bad day in the office, I don’t know, but hopefully it was.
You had great start and many people spoke highly about your place. Hence we come...
Read moreIm very upset. Me and my partner came in on Christmas Day to have lunch. Which the menu says it’s £14.99 each adult. Obviously by being Christmas I did think we would pay more. But when I called to book a table I asked if we had to pay and they didn’t tell us anything. At the dining table when we sat down they also didn’t let us know that we needed to pay double. We had food and the food was good some of it was a bit dry I can’t lie. But most was delicious. Just didn’t feel comfortable one moment because after grabbing something they would come to us and check straight away. And my partner was told to have turkey by the staff when she hates turkey and grabbed it because she felt bad, which I think it’s disappointing because you should be able to grab everything you like. At the end instead of paying £30 we had a surprise and had to pay £60 instead ! Thank you for not letting anybody know how much you charging on Christmas and not warning people of this and expecting them to still pay. I’m never...
