It is with regret that I write this 1-star review following an incredibly disappointing visit to Curry's at Hankridge Retail Park in Taunton. My family and I had set out with the intention of making significant purchases, including a new large TV, a gaming laptop, and a desktop setup—potentially investing several thousand pounds into our tech upgrades. Sadly, our experience fell drastically short of expectations. From the outset, we found ourselves virtually invisible to the staff. We navigated the aisles filled with the latest technology, but not once were we approached or offered assistance, despite making our interest in high-ticket items abundantly clear. After selecting the TV we intended to purchase, we were faced with a further test of patience. We stood by the product, hoping for some acknowledgment or assistance, but were instead forced to wait over five minutes. This alone would not warrant such a low rating, but what transpired next was the true catalyst for our dissatisfaction. When a member of staff finally finished what appeared to be a personal activity on his phone, our attempt at engaging him was met with a disheartening response. My polite remark about not wanting to interrupt his texting was met with not only a lack of apology but also a dismissive retort shouted across the store as he continued to walk away. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially in a competitive retail environment where customer experience should be paramount. The absence of basic customer engagement and courtesy has not only lost Curry's a substantial sale but also a loyal customer. We left Curry's that day feeling undervalued and frustrated, with a firm resolve never to return. It's my hope that this review serves as a call to action for Curry's management at Hankridge Retail Park to address and improve their customer service training and ensure that no other potential customer has to undergo such a dispiriting experience. Additionally, my frustration was compounded by the sight of three large Curry's delivery vans occupying valuable customer parking spaces. This logistical oversight added an unnecessary layer of inconvenience to our visit. It baffles me that these commercial vehicles were not parked at the rear of the unit to utilise the dedicated loading bays. Such inconsiderate parking practices not only reflect a disregard for customer convenience but also suggest a mismanagement of space that could be easily rectified. This further tainted an already disappointing visit, showing a lack of foresight and consideration for the shopping experience of every customer who arrives at their doorstep.

Paid a visit to Curry’s store today to buy a new fridge freezer ,the gentleman who served us was an absolute star and a credit to the curry’s store & I hope they do give him our sincere thanks.totally professional from start to finish explained everything in detail,we had to pop home to measure our space as Mike printed out for us all the information needed and made sure we picked the right one . On our return he looked after us made the purchase very easy as I have a disability and could see I was having trouble .so took it slow with the wife who is my carer and I making us feel at ease . So I wanted to recognise Mike for being so brilliant and look forward to our brand new fridge freezer being delivered next Saturday . Wished there were more people like Mike the job of buying big house hold items would be so much easier, pic are of Mike in action, thanks Mike Kindest regards PW

Went in today as was interested in a new LG tv. 5/5 for customer service on the person who came and spoke to me. However, I have left empty handed as I was looking to see if Curry would price match the LG tv to the price listed on LG website who also have a discount code for money off Nano models. After he went and sought advice if they would match LGs discount code the answer was no. Which surprised me as on the curry website it states: We'll match against any other UK retailer store or website price including offer-code discounts. So a wasted journey driving to the store as it says one thing on the terms and conditions and then it's different in store. Oh well. Just bought the tv from LG now. Hasn't cost me anything going to LG direct but cost Currys a sale.

After a disappointing experience with a damaged TV ordered from Amazon, my wife and I were understandably cautious about buying another high-value item. Entering Currys PC World, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, especially given how unsettled we felt about a second major purchase so soon. Thankfully, our concerns were put to rest by the exceptional service we received from Aiden, one of the store’s sales representatives.

From the moment we stepped in, Aiden greeted us warmly and demonstrated an impressive level of expertise and genuine enthusiasm for helping us find the perfect TV. Armed with our size measurements and a few ideas of what we wanted, we had quite a few questions. Aiden was not only patient with each one, but he also took time to thoroughly explain everything—from the latest technology in screen resolution and sound quality to tips on optimizing the TV’s placement in our room. His product knowledge was truly second to none. Every feature he demonstrated made us feel confident that we were making the right choice.

I worked at Currys and Link phone store many years ago, so I have a pretty good sense of what quality service looks like, and I can say that Aiden went above and beyond anything I expected. His professionalism, dedication, and expertise stood out immediately. We felt valued as customers and reassured about our purchase decision. It's clear he took pride in making sure we left completely satisfied.

While I generally don’t purchase additional insurance, as I have other coverage elsewhere, Aiden’s clear, no-pressure explanation of the Currys warranty and insurance options convinced me that it’s something every customer without existing coverage should consider. It’s rare to encounter someone who can explain a product’s benefits so well without being pushy, and his balanced approach was very refreshing.

We left with a fantastic TV, thrilled with our purchase and confident it was exactly what we needed—all thanks to Aiden’s assistance. I can honestly say that if Aiden hadn’t been our guide through this process, we might have hesitated to buy another TV so soon. Currys PC World is lucky to have someone as dedicated as Aiden on their team, and I hope his commitment and exceptional customer service are recognized and rewarded. In my view, Aiden has all the qualities that would make him a fantastic manager, and he’s exactly the kind of person who inspires loyalty in customers.

Thank you, Aiden, and thank you, Currys PC World, for turning what could have been a stressful experience into a truly positive one. Aiden’s service was outstanding from start to finish, and I look forward to recommending Currys PC World to friends and family as my first choice for...

Absolutely horrendous experience here. Came in here to buy a new apple product. Eventually got noticed by a member of staff and asked if i could buy the product ive been looking at. Instead of a straight forward “yea of course” he instead tried to downgrade me to an older version cause it was cheaper. Not the greatest sales technique ive come across but im glad he cared more about me saving money than the product i actually specifically came in and asked for. Spoke to Adam and to be honest, i couldnt tell if he was a new worker or if he had just been told to wear the currys uniform and not learn anything about the business. I wanted to use the monthly pay off plan that they offer but he didnt know how to set it up or order the product through that and instead told me to check my emails and he would send me a link. I didnt mind having to do it myself but when you’re in a tech shop which has no customer wifi or phone signal, its impossible to check your emails. In the mids of trying to sort this out a customer was walking around looking for something and he decided to then just up and leave me and go help him instead. From the sounds of it, what the customer was looking for was too much of a task for Adam so he told the customer to come back a different day. In the end i gave up trying to buy the product in the Taunton store and drove down to Exeter. They unfortunately didnt have the product in the colour i wanted but offered to get it here by the end of the week and sat me down at a table, took my account number and sorted everything out in a matter of minutes. Its quite clear the area or regional managers need to take some action towards the Taunton store as the reviews speak...
