KFC Taunton - Hankridge Way — Restaurant in England

Never will I go again, drive through, told to park and wait for order. chips were cold and rubbery, syrup was out on Pepsi so had a cup of soda water, explained to the guy with a pony tail who brought it out and he said well your be waiting ages for chips and then preceded to literally jump through the drive through window that's a hygiene fail. Started to eat the other bits while waiting for the chips and drinks, popcorn was cold, burger bun stale, wrap the chicken was so over cooked you could hurt someone throwing it. Went in to complain to be met with an attitude, pony tail lad comes over and asks what the problem is and rude and replied well what do you expect it's KFC. He then got the manager and said to him loudly good luck with that one and walked off. Manager refunded me and the group of people waiting to order walked out after hearing what he said to and about me and spoke to me after and said they were shocked and won't return either. Yes it's fast food but you still expect hot edible food and service without an attitude. A simple sorry about that and refund or offer to make more would have been better. We went to madonalds after to eat and got served hot food with a smile. Take some tips from Macdonalds staff about customer service. Never will go to this one again. The one in the town center is much better and service with a smile. Sort your staff out at hankridge no wonder it was quiet...

The restaurant focuses attention entirely on drive through customers and neglect the restaurant. Several times I have waited for unreasonable amounts of time. Yesterday evening I waited a very long time whilst 3 or 4 kids working behind the counter are unprofessionally stood around talking inappropriately about their weekend whilst the cook staff are rushed off their feet, tables and floors in the restaurant are filthy and the kids are just stood around. When my food eventually arrived, they hadn’t prepared the drinks and so my food was going cold whilst they did this, only to serve some kids who came in wanting water, not even paying customers. When I got to my table, food was missing from my order and so I left frustrated with a discount. The manager was kind and offered us complimentary items but we didn’t take advantage. I will use the restaurant again but they desperately need feedback to help improve with the organising and supervision of the lazy kids working behind the counter who should never stand around, especially when there are dirty tables and floors.

adding this after reading other reviews. The same complaints I made around lazy kids and dirty restaurant and focus being entirely on drive through were being made 3 months ago with zero improvement! Come on management,...

Ordered on 17/04/25 at 9.21.

We were called up to collect our food after about 10 minutes only to be told that they didn't have any gravy or corn (the 2 sides we had ordered & frankly the gravy was the reason I plumped for KFC instead of McD that night) BUT they also didn't have any beans or mash potato. So would I like side salad or extra chips? The side salads we were given was an absolute joke (pictured)

We then sat down with our meal but weren't given any cups to go with our bottle of Pepsi Max. My 13 year old daughter went to the counter and waited patiently for about 3 or 4 minutes for the 2 workers behind the counter chatting to notice her. She sat back down but we also didn't have any napkins, there weren't any in the dispenser so again she waited at the counter, where there were no workers this time for another 5 minutes. I then got up to find the gent cleaning and asked him to get us some, which he did.

Tried to add to my complaint on the KFC website. The only way you can contact customer service only to be greeted with a spinning symbol and the message never go through.

Not a good experience. And not good service from customer services.

& Please have a laugh at the side salads that...
