We had an incredibly frustrating experience with Lever Law. The entire process was plagued with delays, lack of communication, and numerous mistakes that we had to fix ourselves. They failed to communicate with other agencies, leaving us to act as messengers between parties. Their advice was inconsistent, and when we spotted a major error in the completion statement (they failed to include the deposit), we had to chase them to get it corrected. The completion date was changed multiple times without clear explanation, and when a relative tried to help speed things up, they inexplicably tried to push the date back even further. Communication with us was terrible throughout—getting updates required constant chasing on our part. This was an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience.

Update: In response to your reply, I think it is important to get some facts straight. Our offer was accepted at the start of November and we completed on 7th February so I fail to see how that is 8 weeks. Emails were not responded to on the same day and on some occasions it took 2-3 emails to get a response. We rang to give my father-in-law permission to speak on behalf of us, who, as we agreed, stated rightly that if we were not provided the correct and essential documentation, completion for the stated date was at risk. Never once did he say we wanted to delay and this was clarified with yourselves. Your statement on paperwork would be right if your paperwork provided was correct, however it wasn't, so considering that point alongside the fact that we were first time buyers, as professionals we would expect your guidance and trustworthiness in this matter - especially as it required myself to ring to correct these details. You stated I was confused about completion. However what I was confused about was that you wrote us a completion statement which did not even include our deposit amount. I emailed, as you have referenced, to ask about this matter and was told the statement was correct (it was not). I then proceeded to ring the office where I was told multiple times that it was correct. I then persisted that it did not have the correct amount written on it and told yourselves to check your own documents again. At which point then you admitted you were incorrect and wrote us up a new statement. If there was any party which were confused about documents or should be reading them thoroughly, it is yourselves.

I hope this clears up some...

Pretty awful experience with Lever Law after they almost scuppered the purchase of our dream home. We were recommended them by a family member to help with a property purchase. As the purchase progressed it became apparent that there were some complications with the legal structure as the financier was involved in the sale as the developer was having cash flow problems. Lever Law said this was a risk and suggested we withdrew. We wanted to understand more and assess the level of risk including how this might impact upon us. On this matter, Lever Law was unresponsive and unhelpful, despite several requests for clear information over the phone and through email. Instead of working with us to understand and resolve this, Lever Law took it upon themselves to scupper the purchase, telling our bank that the deal should not go ahead leading to our mortgage being withdrawn. We were devastated but received little sympathy from Lever Law. We have since moved to a different solicitor who has supported us fully and worked through the complications in a professional manner. We have appealed the mortgage withdrawal and thankfully this is back on the table and I am delighted to say we will be moving into our new house early in the New Year, no thanks...

Don't use! They are definitely not working for the benefit of their client: e.g contract sent on 13th May and no automated email confirming their receipt, availability, method of working received at all, or any form of update or contact. Even in covid this is abnormal. Despite repeated attempts by my solicitors, and 2 estate agents branch managers nothing still received by my solicitors. Partial success finally believed to have been achieved when a promise of receiving paperwork was given to another 3rd party. No of course never happened. As for the 'madam' on the phone, the less said the better. I made it clear I was not asking for any information only to advise that their 'communication chain' was resulting in the sale being likely to fail. Off course it will be the clients who literally foot the bill for that failure. DO NOT USE ! Plenty of better and professional solicitors out there and I have not had to pay over the top for good service, clear communication and professional practice! OMG how they could learn some lessons. I doubt VERY much by the manner of the woman their culture will mean they will or will change. A bad advocate for their...
