Mowgli's Birchgrove Heath Premier Indian Takeaway Cardiff — Local services in Great Britain

We have eaten in your restaurants on many occasions and always enjoy your food. We had guests over last night decided to use your takeaway and delivery service. I ordered at about 4:30 and requested a delivery time of 7:00-7:15 hoping to eat as soon as the meal arrived.

When we had not received our order at 7:35, I telephoned and was assured that the delivery was on its way – we live at 40 Waun y Groes Ave, only 1 mile from your Birchgrove premises (5mins drive)

At 7:55 we still had not had our delivery so I phoned again, but, as I got through, another call came through from your driver saying that he was outside our house. I was standing at the front window at the time and told him that he wasn’t as I would be able to see him.

After some discussion it transpired that he was in front of 40 Heol Cae Rhys, which runs into Waun y Groes Ave where we live. He then drove on down and gave me our food. He proudly told me that this was his patch and that he was an ex-taxi-driver and knew the area well. He also said that he had used his TomTom, but the postcode for where he was waiting is nothing like ours so I don’t know what address he had used.

When we got the meal inside it was cold and we had to reheat it in the oven and microwave to get it to a decent temperature. The food was delicious, as ever, but we were over an hour later to what we intended before we were able to eat.

Had a delivery last night,ordered chicken Mohani and chicken kalipouri for main.Onion bahgi and poppadoms x2 rice's (£32.50). Firstly the bahgi looked great, nice size and crispy on the outer,then you cut it open and the inner was awful!!Big uncooked lumps of onion in a curry type uncooked paste .The mint sauces were like sour cream dip without any hint of mint!!£3.75 for a special rice?was basically boiled rice with some peas!!bargain! The Mohani was like a thick dark gravy with a hint of coconut,and the kalipouri was pasty.All the chicken was the same size sliced frozen cheap type when paying your prices should all be fresh!Was looking forward to a nice meal as heard was supposed to be really nice and in my opinion having ate curries for years was disappointed to...

Usually order from Mowgli's as food quality is good.

Last order was a bit of a disaster. Order delivered with one main dish missing, phoned and the restaurant explained they would send it to be with us in 15 mins. Kept rest of order in oven to wait.

The missing dish arrived as promised but when we open the container labelled "Lamb pasanda" actually contained chicken. Phoned the restaurant a second time and the man answering simply laughed and did nothing about it.
