Amazing shop - they have everything you could possibly need and even if it's just a washer or a nut they will go all out to find it for you - even if it costs 30p! - so let me tell you a story.. I have a guitar pedal that I love dearly (a 1983 ProCo Rat if you're interested) and I'd lost the nut that holds the footswitch in place. I tried ordering parts from the U.S but they wouldn't ship such a tiny item over. Tried pedal builders here in the UK but couldn't find the right size nut anywhere. Had a gig coming up at the weekend and I really wanted to get it fixed so I went to Pextons thinking they're bound to have the right size... Alas, no (it was some weird size based on Imperial measurements that could only be sourced from America or Liberia I think?) And in any other shop that would have been the end of it, but no - not here! After spending a while taking the pedal to pieces they came up with the perfect solution using a small rubber washer to replace a nut of exactly the same size that I needed. Absolute genius! The man who served me tested the old battery and found it had a lot of life left, and instead just cleaned the contacts and refused to charge me a penny. Sure enough that did the job.
I was already a customer for life, but that...

Jonathan at Pextons gave me advice as to what to do but said it could be the main drain and advised to check with neighbours to try to pinpoint where it might be if my efforts still proved unsuccessful. This indeed proved to be the case and we were lucky the sewage hadn’t backed up into the house as it was almost completely blocked. With the help of TC Drains who were very reasonably priced, prompt and respectful, normal drainage was soon restored...thank...
