Very disappointed with the West End branch! Done a deal on a property, arranged mortgage and spent over £350 on a survery in the process. Date of entry was also set via solicitors. After date of entry day had passed I contacted my solicitors to find out why there was a delay. I was told the sellers were having difficulty releasing an inhibition on the property from the bank. I waited a month and contacted Rettie West End to find out what the delay was. I was told that they were unaware and thought the delay was from my end. After Rettie 'contacted' the sellers I was told that their bank refused to release the inhibition and they could no longer sell the property. A week ago I saw the same property for sale and now it is under offer! Rettie West End should be ashamed of themselves for messing me around! I should have been the first one contacted if there was a 'real' issue. It seems to me there was an underhand dealing going on. Rettie I am out of pocket by over £350 and have wasted my solicitors time. You are very unprofessional and I will not be dealing with you again anytime soon in the near future! Very disappointed!
