I have got many happy memories in this pub, it's a lovely little spot that serves a great pint. Back in the day they used to bring out free pies on weeknights, not sure if they do that any more though.
I've had to knock a star off cos last night the lady behind the bar rang the bell for last orders and then only a microsecond later announced that the pub was closed and started stacking chairs and shepherding confused punters with half-drunk pints out of the door. Any protest was met with a moody "not in the mood for it tonight, get out". Bit rude, I thought. Not our fault you forgot to ring the bell on time!

Read moreLovely warm pub in the heart of the west end, full of characters and friendly staff. Place has been open for many many years, as my father used to frequent the place when he was in his uni days.
Pints are well priced still hovering around the £4 mark, and they are the only pub I know that server tartan special on tap!
Great for sport with tellies in every corner of the pub, so makes for an ideal spot to have a quiet pint with mates.

The only issue is it is my very local pub, I live two doors down and we share a communal garden. There is an intermittent noise coming from the back of the pub. It sounds like its coming from an old extractor fan or generator, it's so loud it keeps me and my young children awake through the night.
