Abysmal experience in Tesco Wells this evening. Went into my local Tesco to shop and get a passport photo from the photo booth and the charge was Ā£12. Inserted the Ā£10 cash and the machine would not then take the other two pounds or refund the note. Asked for some assistance from the staff and got told itās a concession on a rental basis and nothing to do with the store, but I will get my manager. Fifteen minutes later no manager so approached the same assistant who told me exactly what she said previously and the Manager had told her it was nothing to do with Tescoās. Manager clearly keeping out of sight. Told I should ring the assistance number on the booth. Did that and guess what ā helpline closed. Not only was the machine not working and swallowing money but when I suggested that it might be an idea to put an out of order sign on it so it did not happen to someone else I got the rolling eyes treatment. Absolutely rubbish attitude all round especially when Tescoās market this as a facility that is offered in store and Ā£11...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIncredibly rude staff. Refused to sell me an energy drink after providing proof of age. There are no legal requirements to provide ID for energy drinks since no logical 16 year old walks around with a passport, and yet they repeatedly told me it was law. I laughed and asked them if they understood how stupid what they were saying is and they escalated the situation and kicked me out of the store.
The 2 staff members were aged around 70 and weāre insanely rude to me for no reason. I kept a calm voice and was not rude at all and was then kicked out of the store without being able to buy the rest of my things.
Someone higher up needs to teach these 2 staff members the laws surrounding proof of age at 16 and also teach them how to treat customers without coming off aggressive and miserable. Just not a pleasant experience overall and I hope for these members of staff to be spoken to and explained how to handle situations like this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT PARK HERE USING QR CODE ON BUILDING.
I scanned QR code on building to pay for parking overnight using your parking space app, but Iāve just received a fine for Ā£70. I have proof of parking but looking at my receipt it says different location (high street) despite scanning QR code at Tesco. Iām not local so donāt have access to signage on building however through fb I was able to find post where this has happened to someone else. I reached out to this person and apparently they were given 2 options To go through ombudsman Pay reduced fee of Ā£15 as āgesture of good willā but lose right to appeal again. They also contacted the store manager who confirmed the signage was incorrect and will take it up with horizon parking, that was a few weeks ago. This gentlemanās parking fine was from JULY and mine was AUGUST. So canāt begin to imagine how many people have been caught out by this parking app...
