After booking online for 7pm table, at £40 per head in July, we were informed they didn’t have 7pm bookings? We were then assured by the “owner” over a phone conversation on the mobile number provided on their website that our booking would be honoured…….. thank you…….. so kind. The day of arrival we noticed the website selling tickets for same night at £10 less per person. We called to confirm the booking as well as confirming the booking online, nowhere stating that prices has changed. When calling to question the price difference, I was fobbed off on the phone to say that summer bookings and winter bookings were different?!? For the same night. Upon arrival we were treated by them as “latecomers” by 3 different members of staff including the DJ. The food served was inedible, with 3 out of 6 of the party unable to eat the food served. The “owner” then gave us a bottle or Prosecco as compensation, at a bottomless brunch…… we were then informed by 2 different staff members that they had run out of Prosecco at a bottomless brunch and that at 8:30 (when our time slot ended) they would “send someone out for a bottle or two if needed” when this was challenged we were laughed at by “T” the waiter who said he was only joking. This was after us asking his name several times to which he answered he didn’t need to give us his name. One of the waitresses were then told by the owner to charge us an extra bottle of Prosecco. Within our 75 minute bottomless time slot which they somehow “found”. The owner then attempted to intimate and gaslight a group of females into telling us we were all too drunk (after drinking 2 bottles of Prosecco between 6 females in 70 minutes) that we had drunk enough and looked like we were having a good time because three of the party were dancing and attempting to make the most out of a bad night. The owner then Continued to belittle and intimidate offering more alcohol as compensation when all we wanted was to get out of a very hostile intimidating environment. Do not fall for the website. It’s a basement with awful leadership, management and awful owners. Plenty more places to offer better experiences for same or less...

Awful. Worst brunch we have ever been to. Firstly, the door was locked at 3pm which is when the brunch started, so people were lingering out the front of the building not knowing what to do. The toilets were already disgusting on arrival. The food was inedible and the "loaded fries" were so small. We were sat facing a wall, in a basement. There was one speaker on a stand which I'm pretty sure was playing a radio station. The "host" sat in the corner on his phone. The drinks would only be refilled if you had completeeelllly finished the last. Then you were asked if they could use the same glass, thats fine but they take all of the glasses to the bar (cupboard) and then don't know whos glass was whos. Why not just walk around with the bottles topping glasses up? We were told there were games to come. The "host" walked around with a shot roulette thing like you would buy in a gadget shop and a moaom pin ball to use. This was the last straw and we left. There was also someone from the venue taking pictures and telling people to smile. Revs were more than happy to fit us in for a cocktail making class when we explained how much this experience was threatening to ruin our friends 30th birthday. Not one good...

I would look at what your options where before coming here for a “bottomless brunch”. Sat next to massive speakers all night, is one to make you permanently deaf and have no voice the next day. Not a great selection of drinks which where very abruptly ended a few hours in, staff where at times rude and unwilling to top drinks up. Host was ok but very abrupt, door staff very rude and passive aggressive. And the food….. better off going next door for a kebab. Pictures on Google from a few months back look great however spring rolls and loaded fries where gross and minuscule. One toilet to service the entire place which was disgusting and not attended. Half way through the tables/ drinks and any food where removed (even if you hadn’t finished) and a dance off was started between some unwilling but great customers. Overall I would suggest going anywhere else in Southend than here…. I hear the Alex a few streets away does a lovely bottomless brunch with ace food! Go there...
