Ladymead Retail Park — Local services in Guildford

A retail park that doesn’t care about its customers.

Very disappointed with Ladymead Retail Park. I was a genuine customer, shopping and using the on-site cafes for a few hours while waiting for my daughter nearby. I didn’t notice the small-print parking signs and ended up with a £100 fine for staying just under 5 hours.

Despite explaining my situation and providing receipts to prove I was using the facilities, the retail park management showed zero support or empathy. No interest in helping or even engaging with a reasonable request. Just cold dismissal.

It’s shocking that a retail park designed for shopping and dining would allow such predatory parking enforcement. I won’t be returning, and I’ll be warning others to avoid it as well. If customer care matters to you, go elsewhere — clearly Ladymead doesn’t value...

I wanted to by my Granddaughter a Dress she wore in a photo shoot for Next !! However I asked would there be anyone serving in the Children's Section and was told yes there should be someone there. I then went back to the Children's Section and waited and waited and waited and unfortunately NO ONE CAME !! THE ONLY CHECKOUT OPEN WAS IN THE LADIES SECTION !! WHICH HAD MASSIVE Q and Only one young Lady serving and was nearly late to my Grandsons Swimming Lessons. They where Advertising for Staff which isn't helpful when you have been standing in the line and have bad foot that has Metal Plate and five Screws in. Really? Is Google really asking me to rate a retail park? Surely the whole point is that you dont notice the retail park and enjoy a visit to the shops?

So, a review. It's got a car park, kerbs and access to the public highway. Don't expect useful extras such as EV charge point, covered walkways, security etc... Perhaps one day...

BUT beware good shopping folk. Stay in this car park too long and they'll charge you a £100 penalty. No matter that you have been visiting retailers on site and settled down a lunch in Costa.
