Was a bit dubious about this place as i was going to maureens but it was closed so opted the look for another jamaican food place just further upp the road. And can tell you i wasnt dissapointed even thou we got the last if the food coz we went late was better than maureens i know its a big statement but deffo never thought id be saying this the chops to die for i even drunk the chop juice they was theat nice the jerk chicken rice and peas on point my mate got the curried goat was beautiful everything fell of the bone and was hot and ready to serve first time ive been and can honestly say deffo ill be back sorry maureen lol the hospitality was nice the man and woman that served us was reallly welcoming and and a laugh with them cheers keep up...

This place is just another Caribbean average place,after driving 7 miles to get there I was very disappointed , the salted fish chapatis hardly had any filling inside the curry goat was over salted And tasted a bit powdery as if it hadn’t been cooked long enough or curry powder thrown in after it had been cooking at the minute The curry chicken was over salted too and again just an average curry, so for you people out there who want to open up a Caribbean food shop now heres your opportunity to do food at its best and give your customers an enjoyable tasty experience wanting to use you on a regular basis, I have rated this place Scotchie’s 2.5 stars out of 5. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and peas. I've tried multiple carribean establishments across the North of England. Truly, this is the best. The quality and flavour that comes from the food is unmatched. Busy with the locals too, which is a testament to not only it's popularity but to the high standard of quality expected from this place.
